"Our team from KidsCareEverywhere (KCE) is presently on the ground in Somalia, where we are engaged in an exciting national project to donate award-winning medical and nursing software to clinicians across the country, primarily for use on mobile phones. This initiative will influence the quality of the health care provided to millions of patients. We are conducting this project in collaboration with the Global Health Alliance, the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization. What our team has accomplished on the first days in this resource-limited country is truly inspiring. The Blog and images below reveal the enormous energy and good will generated among the clinicians in Somalia by our KCE project. Over this week, we will post daily Blogs of the team’s work to share the spirit of the mission."

"Day 4 of training was a whirlwind - students had excellent questions about DM and DH, demonstrating good understanding of both platforms. We spent time reviewing the videos and procedures on DH and how to find them. Popular feature!
After class (and before lunch), we posed with SO MANY students for individual and group photos. Their gratitude is infectious. Smiles became somewhat painful! 😊
It is important to note that all students received food at break time and a full meal for lunch. Out of town students received transportation and lodging stipends. GHA is revered in Puntland.
Then - the frosting on the cake … the graduation ceremony at 7:30 pm. The room was decorated and everyone was dressed to the nines! The dignitaries from the Ministry each spoke, praising GHA and KCE. The team members each spoke briefly, as did several (awesome) champions. Following the speechifying, each student received a beautifully crafted certificate bound in a leather-like folder. Then, more photos with each graduate.
Even the smaller group starting with DM/DH tomorrow “walked” for graduation. Yonis had to time the ceremony for the dignitaries.
We were exhausted and hungry when we got back to our (fantastic) hotel late. Full confession: we ate chicken pizza after 11 pm."
