Sometimes, a simple note means more than you know! đź’™

We recently received this heartfelt note, and we wanted to share the beautiful reminder it offers about the impact of kindness and compassion.

"Dear Jaclyn,

This note is long overdue! I hope you know how truly grateful I am for you and your incredible team at Cascades.

I arrived at Cascades in a bit of a panic. Our private aide called out, and suddenly I was faced with figuring out how to get Jay settled and cared for the day. All I had to do was ask! Vanessa, Bernie, Karen and Addie immediately stepped up to help get Jay settled for the day! Each of them was kind, compassionate, patient, and willing to help. They never made me feel like I was asking too much or that it was an inconvenience. They simply saw that we needed help and they helped. They all said they were just doing their jobs, but it was so much more than that to me.

I also want to thank Laila. She gave me the name of True Vine Home Care that was able to replace our private aide the following day. They have been a great partner.

There are moments in life when people may never realize just how much their kindness means. That Tuesday was one of those moments for me.

Please know how much you and your staff mean to me and my family. We are so fortunate to have you all in our lives!

Last week’s Happy Hour was filled with history, conversation, and meaningful memories.

Our community enjoyed a mini museum tribute to the Army Air Corps during World War II, along with a special TV interview featuring The Green Box and the powerful story of a resident’s father’s experience as a POW. A resident's brother, Jim, also shared his perspective during the interview, helping bring this important piece of history to life.

It was an afternoon of remembrance, reflection, and connection—proving that every story has the power to teach, inspire, and bring generations together.
