❤️🎗️ Why pledge to be drug free for Red Ribbon Week?

Pledging to be drug-free means choosing your health, protecting your future, and making positive decisions. Parents and guardians play an important role by encouraging open conversations, providing guidance, and helping young people build healthy coping skills. Together, we can prevent substance misuse and create safer, healthier communities!

As Halloween approaches, CHC reminds parents, guardians, and caregivers to watch for THC products packaged to look like popular candies and treats. 🍬

THC ingestion can have serious health effects, especially for children and teens, including impaired thinking, difficulty regulating emotions, increased heart rate, confusion, and anxiety. Accidental ingestion can also lead to an overdose.

Keep cannabis products locked away and out of reach of children. Help protect our youth by checking packaging and talking with them about the dangers of consuming unknown treats.

Have a fun, healthy, and safe Halloween! 🎃

❤️🎗️ Why does Red Ribbon Week matter?

Red Ribbon Week reminds us that substance misuse prevention starts with education, awareness, and community support. By empowering young people to make healthy choices, encouraging open conversations, and building positive connections, we can help create a healthier future for everyone.

Thank you Change on Hamilton for inviting Center for Humanistic Change to host Coffee & Colleagues networking event on October 21. ☕️

The conversation about teen substance use was insightful and important. 💙

Together, we can raise awareness, break the stigma, and build a healthier community where every young person has the support they need to thrive. Let’s keep the conversation going! 🤝

Thank you to Center for Humanistic Change for hosting this morning’s Coffee & Colleagues networking event! ☕️ Our conversation about the prevalence of substance use amongst teens was insightful and important, and we look forward to expanding awareness in our community.

Join us the third Wednesday of each month from 10:00am-12:00pm to network with providers and expand connections supporting the recovery community throughout the Lehigh Valley. All professionals invited to participate!
