Take a behind-the-scenes look as our OR team prepares for a robotic-assisted total knee replacement with our Chief of Joint Replacement, Dr. Eric Lepkowsky. Using the Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted System, our surgeons perform personalized hip and knee replacement procedures with advanced precision and technology.

Every detail matters. From surgical hoods that help maintain a sterile environment to the careful inspection of every instrument tray before surgery, our team is focused on safety at every step.

Our Total Joint Replacement team includes registered nurses, certified surgical scrub technicians, surgeons, physician assistants, anesthesiologists, and certified registered nurse anesthetists, all working together to deliver exceptional care.

Pool Palms or Coxsackie? 🤔 Not every rash after a day at the pool is Hand-Foot-Mouth Disease.

While these conditions can sometimes look similar, Pool Palms are caused by friction from rough pool surfaces, while Coxsackie (Hand-Foot-Mouth Disease) is a contagious viral infection.

💜 Sisters make the best friends, especially when healing gets hard.

When Frances was struggling with a wound that wouldn’t heal, her sister Anne was there every step of the way. She accompanied Frances to appointments at the Center for Hyperbaric Medicine & Wound Healing at St. Joseph Hospital, helped manage her at-home wound care, and provided the encouragement needed to stay the course.

Under the care of Dr. Alan Slepian, who developed a specialized treatment plan, Frances and Anne worked together to follow every step consistently. As the weeks passed, they watched the wound gradually shrink and heal.

This National Best Friends Day, we’re celebrating the sisters who do more than stand by our side. They show up, lift us up, and help us heal. Sometimes the best medicine is having someone who never lets you take those first steps alone.
