🎉 Congratulations to Savior Benny, RN, our Q3 RISE Award winner for Safety!

Nomination: "Benny was quick to respond to a code and immediately started abdominal thrusts when she found the patient unresponsive from choking. Due to her fast actions and critical thinking, the obstruction was successfully removed, the patient became responsive again, and further complications were prevented. Her immediate intervention essentially saved the patient’s life. Way to go, Benny!

Savior has saved many lives in her short tenure here. She gives exceptional patient care and is a phenomenal nurse! We are lucky to have you, Savior!"

🎉 Congratulations to Abby Malina, Case Manager (Outpatient), our Q3 RISE Award winner for Initiative!

Nomination: "On a Friday at 4:00pm, we received a call back in OP from reception asking if we had a staff member available to come and provide support to a 15-year-old girl who had walked in with her mother. This was the young girls first experience getting mental health treatment and she was scared and both her and mom were tearful. After I got off the phone with them and explained what reception was asking, Abby instantly stopped what she was doing and volunteered to go to reception and sit with them. She provided support and helped talk them through the process. Abby is constantly going above and beyond and is always willing to help even when it is not for her department. Abby is a kind soul and never stops smiling."

Su***de Prevention Awareness Month is a reminder that checking in, listening without judgment, and simply being there for someone can make a difference.

This September, let’s continue to make space for honest conversations about mental health and remind those around us that it’s okay to ask for help. No one should have to face a difficult season alone.

You matter. Your story matters. And there is hope.

Over the next few posts, we’ll be spotlighting each of our Q3 winners and sharing what their colleagues had to say about the impact they make.

⭐ First, congratulations to Mike O’Neill, BHA, our Q3 RISE Award winner for Respect! One nomination shared: "I would like to nominate this employee for the exceptional respect and compassion he shows to every patient who walks through our doors. Regardless of who they are or where they come from, he treats each individual with dignity, kindness, and understanding. He is committed to getting to know each patient without judgment or bias, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and respected. His ability to provide compassionate, unbiased care creates a welcoming and supportive environment for those we serve. Today is International Overdose Awareness Day. Behind every life lost to overdose is a person who was loved, a story that mattered, and people who still feel their absence. Today, we remember them while standing beside those who are struggling and those working toward recovery. Compassion can change a life, and no one should have to face addiction alone.
