We are loving this documentary series all about alternative outdoor education! The Moss House teachers attended the Forest School Teacher Institute this summer, learning from Dr. Jean Lomino and her team about the benefits of this kind of education and the importance of bringing it to your community. The outdoor education movement is growing, and we are proud to be a part of it!

Our Playfully Wild! class returns this week! The weather looks rainy, and we will be embracing it with Rainy Day play. Dress for the weather to join us for jumping in puddles, making rain soup, and playing “Will it sink or float?” We’ll bring the extra rain coats and rain pants.

This class is held from 10:00-11:30 at The Moss House Preschool, 183 Riverside Drive in Binghamton at the UU church. Parking is in the back. There is no charge for this class, but donations are always appreciated and are contributed to our Keep Camp Affordable fundraiser. $7 donation suggested. All forms of payment accepted.

The Moss House is now certified to lead Leave No Trace classes! Maggie completed her training to become a Leave No Trace Educator and can now lead workshops all about the Leave No Trace principles. Perfect for scouting groups and homeschooling co-ops! Text us at 607-444-5970 to schedule a time for your group (available evenings and weekends)

Classes are almost full for the upcoming school year and we can’t wait to get started! Join one of our six programs including Playfully Wild! (caregiver and child class), Fundamentally Wild! (Forest school for children ages 6-12), and Project W.I.L.D. (self guided projects and wilderness training for teens).
