Known to be a wonderful wife and mother, Ivy Marie Trammell Howard, 92, of Adamsville departed this life on May 25, 2026.
In her younger years, Ivy was very active. She enjoyed bowling, square dancing, attending Alabama football games, and traveling. She was a lifelong member of Midway Methodist Church, supervising many youth trips and making costumes for church activities. Ivy was a wonderful cook, making meals for family and friends. She was best known for her dressing and cold oven pound cake.
Ivy is preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Howard, parents, Ivan and Mary Trammell, sister, Janie McCay, special sister-in-love, Bobbie Smith, and other close family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Charles Howard, son Charlie Howard (Donna), daughters Nettie Hamm (Rusty), Amy Clayton (Kit), grandchildren Jason Howard, Matthew Howard, Heather Estes (Bart), Ethan Hamm, Kaitlyn Scott (Robby), Kendell Hamm, great granddaughter Harper Scott, great grandson Keagan Scott, sister-in-love Mary “Tootsie” Ellis, brother-in-love Tommy Arwood (Pat), and a host of other close family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Midway Methodist Church in Adamsville with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation for friends will be Friday from 11:00am - 12:00pm.

Today, we celebrate someone who means so much to all of us at Bell Funeral Home — Mrs. Jan Jones.

For many of us, Jan has been more than a coworker… she has been a motherly figure, a guiding hand, and a constant source of love, wisdom, and compassion. This month also marks an incredible milestone — 50 years in the funeral profession. For five decades, she has devoted her life to serving families, comforting others during difficult times, and caring for her community with grace and dignity.

Her dedication, kindness, and servant’s heart have touched countless lives over the years, and we are beyond thankful for everything she means to our Bell Funeral Home family.

Malcolm J. Gilliland age 51 of Adamsville, AL passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at UAB. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Bell Forestdale Chapel at 11:00 am family will receive guest one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow at Village Falls. Bro. Hollis Alexander will be officiating the service.
Malcolm was preceded in death by his mother; Brenda Gilliland, grandparents; Walter Jethro Everitt, Altalee Mims Everitt, Malcolm Franklin Gilliland and Dollie Mae Gilliland.
Malcolm is survived by his wife of 24 years Joella Gilliland, daughters; Brittany, Jasmine and Rhiannon Dunlap, grandchildren; Hendrix, Iris, Zephyr, Santana, Marlee, Wednesday, Jayce, Grant, Luca, Kyleigh, Kashton, Karter, Naomi and PJ, father; David Gilliland (Carolyn), sister; Dana Pharo (Charles) and Brittany Dabbs (Noel), sister; Pam Pilkinton and brother; Greg Griffin.

Deborah A, Hooie age 72 of Hoover, AL passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026. Funeral Service will be held at Hunter Street Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 05, 2026 at 11:00 am family will receive guest from 10:00 am till time of service. Burial to follow at Grassy Memorial Gardens. Bro. Brian Hinton will be officiating the service.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents William Lester and Nellie Hodge.
Deborah is survived by the love of her life of 58 years Jimmy Hooie, sons; Michael Hooie and Jeremy Hooie (Ashley), former daughter-in-law Toyna Hooie, granddaughter; Brittany Hooper, grandson; Jackson Hooie (Anastasia), granddaughter; Maggie Hooie, granddaughter; Kate Hooie and grandson; Cooper Hooie, great granddaughters; Layla, Kylie, Esra and Iris, brother; Wayne Hodge (Becky).
She loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. She found joy in reading, planting flowers, and caring for her beautiful orchids a love that was unmistakable to anyone who stepped into her kitchen. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she dearly loved her church and the many friends she made through it.
She also had a servant’s heart and was proud to be part of “Sleep in Heavenly Peace,” where she helped provide handmade beds, new mattresses, and bedding for children in need, ensuring they had a comfortable place to sleep.
In 1968, she met the love of her life, beginning a beautiful journey filled with love, devotion, and treasured memories.

Tammy Cofer Morgan, 55, of Lincoln, Alabama passed away on April, 24 2026. Born on April 27, 1970, she was originally from Graysville, Alabama. Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Bell Forestdale Chapel at 2:00pm family will receive guest one hour prior to the service. Bro. Guy Moore will be officiating the service.
Tammy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend who centered her life around her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years Steven Morgan; her sons, Zachary Morgan (Makenzie) and Zane Morgan (Kristin), adopted daughter, Jade W**d (Drew) and her cherished grandsons, Madden and Bryson. She is also survived by her father, Randy Cofer (Jo Anne), her grandmother, Shirley Salter, along with many beloved nieces, and nephews: Jacob Nelson (Veronica), Carissa Swam (Dylan), Autumn Fields, AJ Fields and Morgan Fields, as well as numerous great nieces and great nephews two step sisters, Crystal Worley and Misty Richardson (Dan).
She was proceeded in death by her mother, Peggy Cofer, her sister Tiffany Cofer, and her grandfather, Wesley Salter.
Tammy found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved sitting on the front porch with Miley, taking a boat rides on the lake and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons who brought her endless happiness. She loved going to the beach whenever she had the chance and cherish the time spent with her toes in the sand. Known for her kind and giving spirit, Tammy was the sweetest soul someone who would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She faced many hardships and personal losses throughout her life, including the recent passing of her mother and the earlier loss of her sister, yet she carried herself with strength, grace, and a constant smile. Her resilience in love for those around her will be remembered by all who knew her.
