Father's Day can bring up complicated feelings, especially when addiction has affected the relationship between a father and son. Whether you are a dad who has watched your son struggle, a son whose father is in recovery, or somewhere in between, you are not alone.

The HEART Family Program offers support for families navigating exactly this. At our next meeting on Tuesday, June 23, from 6 to 8 p.m., Bobby Grey Eagle will be sharing his journey as a father and how spirituality has affected his life.

If this Father's Day is a difficult one, consider joining us. Support is available, and you do not have to figure this out alone.

Heartview Dickinson staff wore green and blue for Men's Mental Health Month.

Last week, Heartview's leadership team from Bismarck, Cando, and Dickinson came together for our annual leadership retreat to collaborate, problem solve, and plan for the future. We are always looking for ways to grow and improve the services we provide, and the result of their work will be Heartview's 2026-2031 strategic plan. We are excited for what is ahead!

Last week, Ed Gerhardt, who served as Heartview's Chief Financial Officer and executive director in the 80s and early 90s, stopped by to wish Carol a happy retirement. Carol is Heartview's executive assistant and is retiring after an incredible 59 years with the organization.

Today we take a moment to celebrate the incredible people who make our programs run at our Bismarck, Dickinson and Cando residential locations. These facilities have to be staffed 24/7, on weekends, on holidays, and regardless of weather. Our patients count on you showing up and caring about them as people starting a new life.
