Dear Light Group,
One thing that is common to all of us in this Light Group is a desire for this to be a better world. We want this to be a world of harmony, peace, and love. And yet we feel that the world is moving in the opposite direction: it appears to be more chaotic and polarized than ever. In the midst of this swirling turbulence, we can feel small and insignificant and powerless.
But are we? Are we really that insignificant, that powerless?
Great things can start from the smallest of actions. For each one of us, it is helpful to remember that every action we take, every thought we have, is like a stone thrown into a pond: the ripples radiating from our thoughts and actions have an effect on every human. Every action we take with love has an impact on the people for whom we take that action. These people in turn have an impact on others, and on and on the impact continues throughout all physical reality. Every action taken with loving intent has an impact that is incredibly glorious.
Actions alone are not sufficient. What is important is the intent, the motivation behind the action. If the intention is selfish, it counts for nothing. The only motivation that counts is selfless, unconditional love.
If we know that we are not helpless in the face of national and global change - our selfless acts of love have a glorious ripple effect - then where are we collectively? Starting with our Light Group, what is our way forward?
Our role is that of The Just. We start by finding peace within ourselves and with each other. With peace and love in our hearts, we help others find peace and love in their hearts. We do so, not through logical argumentation, but through the ripple effect - touching the hearts and minds of others through our intention, our inner peace, and our prayers. Our mere presence brings harmony and renewal.
On a grander scale, this renewal will occur heart-to-heart, person-to-person, and ultimately religion-to-religion, ethnic group-to-ethnic group, nation-to-nation.
In the meantime, we can offer our prayers of protective Light, providing ourselves and others with the space and time to pause, reconsider our purpose in life, and join The Just in creating ripples of selfless love and kindness.
If you would like a prayer of The Just, you might try this: “I return to the source of Light and Life on Earth. I return to the Sea of Light, the source of all physical reality. I hear every atom on Earth singing the glory of the Divine. I return to the goodness, mercy, and compassion of the Divine. I am one with others of The Just. I am one with The Just who are yet in the physical. I am one with The Just who are on other dimensions. We are connected by Light. We are connected by Love. In our hearts is a love for all of creation. In our hearts is a love of the Divine. We are surrounded by the sacred, creative Sea of Light. This Sea of Light surrounds and protects us. This Sea of Light is the powerful, loving, incredibly beautiful place we have always wanted. Existing in this Sea of Light, we radiate this Light and Love for the uplifting of all people. We radiate this Light and Love for the uplifting of the nature kingdoms. We radiate this Light and Love for the uplifting of all of planet Earth. We radiate this Light and Love for the uplifting of all creation. We give thanks to Thee, O Lord, for Thy Sea of Light, for the people of The Just, for our connection with Thee and Thy goodness, peace, mercy, and love. Thank you, Lord, for making it so. Amen.”
