October is National Physical Therapy Month! For many patients, recovering from surgery or a serious illness takes more than a hospital stay. Physical therapy can play an important role in rebuilding strength and improving mobility, preparing patients to return home.

At Calhoun Liberty Hospital, our Transitional Rehabilitation Program helps patients bridge the gap between hospital care and home, providing skilled nursing care and rehabilitation services close to family and friends.

That's exactly what the program did for L.B. Arnold, who came to CLH following heart surgery. With the help of physical therapy and ongoing care, L.B. regained his strength and was able to return home to his wife, Sybil.

This National Physical Therapy Month, we're recognizing our rehabilitation team and the difference they make in helping patients recover and regain independence.
