Calhoun Liberty Hospital is proud to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of the Sunshine Health Provider Technology Grant, receiving $10,000 to support quality improvement and outcomes through telehealth, EHR optimization, equipment for chronic care management and education and training for staff.

These investments will help strengthen care coordination, expand access to services and give our team additional tools to support patients throughout Calhoun and Liberty Counties.

Sunshine Health recently awarded $50,000 in grants to five rural healthcare providers across Florida to help strengthen access to care through technology. Each organization received $10,000 to support innovative solutions that improve patient engagement, enhance care coordination, and help reduce avoidable emergency department visits.

Charlene Zein, president and CEO of Sunshine Health, shared: “We're thrilled to help providers bolster and expand their work to engage our health plan members in rural areas. Their smart, practical use of technology will improve the lives of people in some of the state's most vulnerable communities.”

Congratulations to our 2026 Rural Health Technology Grant recipients: Calhoun Liberty Hospital Foundation, Doctors Memorial Hospital, Palm Glades Rural Health Associates, Northwest Florida Healthcare, Inc., and Sunrise Family Practice, LLC.

Beginning today, the CLH Primary Care Clinic offers walk-in hours Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 –11:30 am. No appointment is necessary during walk-in hours.

Our Primary Care Clinic is also accepting new patients and accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS and Capital Health Plan.
