We want to take a moment to say thank you to all of the families who have trusted us with the care of your children. It has truly been an honor to walk alongside you—through newborn visits, childhood milestones, illnesses, and all the moments in between—supporting and encouraging you as your children grow and thrive.
Over the years, many of you have become more than patients—you have become friends. One of the greatest joys has been watching so many of our patients grow up and even begin bringing their own children to us. That is something we will always cherish.
As we enter this next chapter, we are excited to share that the practice will be transitioning to new ownership and a new name: Sweetgrass Pediatrics. We will continue to care for patients as part of this team, along with our dedicated providers and staff, so you will continue to see familiar faces.
There will be some updates over time, including new technology and systems, all designed to enhance your experience while continuing the same compassionate care you’ve come to expect.
As part of this transition, this Seaside Pediatrics page will be closing. We invite you to follow and stay connected with us at the Sweetgrass Pediatrics page for updates and information moving forward.

Seaside Pediatrics will be transitioning ownership and changing its name to Sweetgrass Pediatrics on May 4, 2026. After almost 20 years of ownership, Dr. Berrigan will only be retiring from management but will continue to see patients at the practice. All of the providers, including Dr. Sturgis, DO, Dr. Storo, MD, Dr. Koepke MD, Amy McNamara, APRN, and Melissa Longley, PA-C will also continue to provide exceptional care to your children at both our Bluffton and Hilton Head locations. While our name may be changing, our commitment to caring for the health and well-being of your children will remain the same.
