Bluffton Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing compassionate medical, dental, and behavioral care at our Bluffton and Ridgeland clinics for uninsured residents, made possible by the generous support of our community. Our mission statement: “To provide free medical care in a compassionate and professional manner to the uninsured of Greater Bluffton and Jasper Coun

ty with an emphasis on preventive medicine and health education.”

Our office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm. Our clinic hours are:

Wednesday 8:30am-12pm &1- 8:00pm
Thursday 8:30am - 12pm

We are deeply grateful to the Riverton Charitable Fund for its generous $5,000 grant supporting the pharmacy program at our Ridgeland Clinic.

Today, we say a heartfelt goodbye to Scott, one of BJVIM's treasured front desk volunteers.

For the past seven years, Scott has generously given his time at our check-in desk every Wednesday. His kindness and dependability have meant so much to our patients, volunteers, and staff. He will be greatly missed!

BJVIM is truly honored to receive our first grant from Riverton Charitable Fund whose focus on supporting the Jasper County community is making a meaningful difference in the lives of local residents.

This grant will support the pharmacy program at BJVIM’s Jasper County clinic, helping our uninsured patients access free prescriptions. By allowing patients to leave the clinic with their medication in hand, this funding helps remove transportation barriers and allows treatment to begin right away.

We are deeply grateful to Friends of for their generous grant in support of BJVIM's Ridgeland Podiatry Program.

Earlier this year, support from Church Mouse Thrift Shop helped us purchase the podiatry chair, and this grant from Friends of Callawassie Island provided the medical instruments and supplies needed to make podiatry appointments available at our Ridgeland clinic.

Transportation is a significant barrier to care for the uninsured neighbors we serve. By bringing specialty podiatry appointments to Ridgeland, we can help patients access the care they need closer to home, improving continuity of care and reducing the burden of traveling for specialty services.

We are deeply grateful to the Port Royal Community Charitable Fund for their generous grant in support of BJVIM and our Senior Care Transition Program.

This program allows us to help our uninsured patients who are approaching age 65 transition to Medicare by guiding them through each step of the process. Through educational sessions and one-on-one support, patients can better understand the various parts of Medicare, complete and submit their Medicare application, meet with new primary care providers, and continue receiving care from BJVIM until they are able to have their first appointment with their new provider.

Thank you to PRCCF for investing in the health and well-being of our patients and our community. We are also grateful for the warm and inspiring reception yesterday celebrating five years of philanthropy and community giving. Congratulations to PRCCF on this incredible milestone!
