Vicky brings 28 years of experience as an Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and Cardiovascular Clinical Specialist. Caring for others has been her passion since childhood, and she enjoys helping patients achieve healthier lifestyles through exercise, nutrition, and stress management. Her philosophy is to always provide the highest standards of care by listening intently to each patient.

For more than 30 years, Teri Redmond, Manager of Disease Management, Cardiology and Outpatient Infusion at Transylvania Regional Hospital, has been a steady, compassionate force for our patients and teams. She is the kind of leader who steps in wherever she’s needed, supports her staff without hesitation and always puts patient care first.

Teri has strengthened programs across TRH, including cardiac rehab and diabetes management, and she’s known as a trusted mentor to new leaders and a respected partner to physicians and peers. Her team describes her as a source of stability, encouragement and unwavering dedication.

This year, Teri was honored with a Leadership Excellence Award, recognizing the impact she has made on our hospital and community.

On Clinical Trials Day, we recognize the clinical research professionals and physicians who help advance the future of patient care at Mission Health and across our broader HCA Healthcare network.

The HCA Healthcare Research Institute is the multispecialty clinical research arm of HCA Healthcare focused on advancing therapies for patients through its affiliated network of providers and care sites. Mission Hospital currently has more than 35 active clinical trials under the HCA Healthcare Research Institute, with 25 in cardiac subspecialties, encompassing all aspects of cardiovascular care — from surgical and interventional cardiology to electrophysiology and heart failure.

The Transitional Care Unit (TCU) at Transylvania Regional Hospital provides short‑term skilled nursing and rehabilitation for patients who need extra support before returning home.

With services like physical, occupational and speech therapy, wound care, IV therapy and nutritional support, the TCU helps patients regain strength and independence close to home.

Caring for a smaller group of patients allows the team to create truly individualized care plans and stay closely connected to each person’s progress, needs and goals.

The unit was recently recognized for its high‑quality care, a reflection of the compassion and dedication our team brings to patients and families every day.
