It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Richard Andrew Daly, 28, who passed in Philadelphia, PA on Sunday afternoon May 31, 2026.
He was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico on December 29, 1997 and was the son of Richard Carlyle Daly and Adamirka (nee Adamas) Daly.
Richard possessed a silent strength that made others around him feel secure with a personality that invited people to laugh and smile with him.
He was a 2015 graduate of Medgar Evers College Preparatory High School in Brooklyn, NY. Richard was a resident of Yonkers, NY prior to moving to Philadelphia.
Richard was an excellent student of the arts – he played the piano, loved photography and was a great poet. He was introduced to photography by his grandfather. He was able to see the world from a different perspective with both eyes wide open.
After high school, he went on to work various jobs and developed a passion for long-distance travel which led him to become employed by Liberty Coca-Cola driving tractor trailers.
Richard was predeceased by his grandfather, Richard H. Daly, who passed in 2018.
In addition to his parents, Richard is survived by his two sisters, Karen and Lauren and two brothers, Charles and Quentin as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins
He was a great son, excellent brother and outstanding person who cared about everyone who was around him.
The viewing will be held from 9 until 11 o’clock on Saturday morning June 27th at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce Street in Bridgeton.
Relatives and friends are also invited to attend the funeral service at the funeral home which will follow the viewing and begin at 11 o’clock.
The interment will follow at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township.
