Strong connections with our elected leaders help strengthen the care we provide to our communities. 💛

Apicha Community Health Center was pleased to welcome a member of Senator Liz Krueger’s team, her Director of Health Policy, to our Manhattan health center. Senator Krueger represents New York’s 28th Senate District, including communities across Manhattan’s Upper East Side and Midtown, and serves as Chair of the New York State Senate Finance Committee.

The meeting gave us an opportunity to discuss the healthcare needs of the communities we serve, including nearly 700 Apicha CHC patients who are Senator Krueger’s constituents.

We thank Senator Krueger for her leadership and support for $80 million in funding for community health centers and clinics - an important investment that helps providers like Apicha continue caring for New Yorkers.

We look forward to continuing the conversation and working together to strengthen access to healthcare across our communities.

Community partnerships start with conversation. ❤️

Apicha Community Health Center was excited to welcome Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s Office of Mass Engagement to our Jackson Heights health center!

AAPI Community Liaison Michelle Ming and Mohamed Alharbi, Deputy Borough Director for Queens, met with Apicha CHC’s CEO and senior leaders to hear more about our story - from how our work caring for underserved New Yorkers began more than 35 years ago to how we continue showing up for our communities today.

They also toured our health center, learned more about the care and support we provide, and met members of our team - including our OB/GYN, Dr. Eng. 🩺

Most importantly, we talked about what comes next: how we can uplift each other’s work, build stronger connections, and explore new ways to collaboratively serve communities across NYC.

Thank you to the Mayor’s Office of Mass Engagement for visiting, listening, and spending time with our team. We’re excited to keep the conversation going! 💛

Community is about showing up for one another. 💙🍼

Apicha Community Health Center was grateful to join Assemblymember Larinda Hooks and Council Member Shanel Thomas-Henry for their Community Baby Shower at the Queens Museum on July 25.

It was wonderful connecting with new and expecting parents, sharing health information and resources, and celebrating growing families in our community. Our team was also happy to give out Apicha onesies, stress balls, and bags to families throughout the day. 👶💛

Thank you to Assemblymember Hooks, Council Member Thomas-Henry, the Queens Museum, and all of the participating community partners for bringing together such a meaningful event for families.

We’re proud to show up, connect, and support our neighbors at every stage of life.
