Do you ever catch yourself scrolling, wondering, “Is this me?”
Social media can make it easy to relate to mental health content—but it can also blur the bigger picture.

Understanding yourself goes deeper than a diagnosis from a social media post or relating to a quick video. The right support can bring real clarity and direction.

If you’ve been questioning your temptation to self diagnose and what you should do instead, check out our latest blog! Link in the bio —> 🔗

When it feels like there are political uncertainties and major world events coming at you from every side, remember that it’s not irresponsible if you feel the need to turn the news off.
Your nervous system wasn’t designed to handle constant stress input for a sustained period of time.
There is a need to regulate how much news you are intaking to recognize how it’s impacting your mood, how you feel in your body, and your daily quality of life.
*
So this week let’s focus on awareness and recognizing, “how much news am I intaking in a daily basis, and how is the media I’m consuming impacting me?”
*
From here we can set boundaries:
• Not reading the news first thing in the morning.
• Turning off news notifications on your phone.
• Setting a time limit so you’re not caught scrolling.
• Not reading the news right before going to bed.
*
Self regulation is not selfish ♡
*
Stay tuned as we talk more about regulating your nervous system during current events, while still being there for our loved ones and our communities.
*
We care about your personal wellbeing and our team of mental health professionals are here for you if you find yourself needing more support in this time. Don’t hesitate to reach out ♡
