Ancient Song

Ancient Song Ancient Song is a national birth justice organization.

We do this by ensuring that all pregnant, postpartum, and parenting people of color have access to high-quality, holistic doula care and services regardless of their ability to pay. We provide doula training and services, offer community education, and advocate for policy change to support reproductive and birth justice.

Fatherhood was never meant to be easy and in our modern world, it can feel like it's become more challenging in some ways but a dad's role is crucial not just as a parent but as a partner. At Ancient Song, we're creating spaces for fathers to come together, connect, open up, and get the support they need.

We have several events happening this week and beyond both in persona and virtually! Share this with a dad in your life!

What a beautiful testament to a mother's love for her children and her children's love for her. Tell us your stories. What do you notice about your children when you prioritize not just caring for them but for yourself too? How do you set those boundaries as a mom?

So when we say the fight for maternal justice is far from over, this is what we're talking about.

There are deeply rooted systemic issues that we're still unraveling today.

Are you a trained doula already and you're interested in deepening your practice? Ancient Song has created Returning to the Root: A Doula Bridge and Recertification Pathway.

This was designed for doulas who have already completed foundational training and want to take things to the next level through a community-based, birth justice-centered, and culturally grounded model of care.

It's a hybrid 6 week long program with weekly live sessions!

The Black Mothers March on the White House is a coalition of Black-led organizations fighting against the predatory practices of CPS.

Ancient Song and members of the attended the march because we know supporting Black mothers and babies goes beyond pregnancy and the immediate postpartum period.

We are here to protect Black mothers and children in all spaces and through every chapter of life. 🀎

In a world increasingly obsessed with AI, remember nothing can replace your maternal instinct. No one knows your body better than you do. No one understands your baby's cries the way you do. AI has nothing on a mother's intuition. 🀍
