Ancient Song

Ancient Song is a national birth justice organization.

We do this by ensuring that all pregnant, postpartum, and parenting people of color have access to high-quality, holistic doula care and services regardless of their ability to pay. We provide doula training and services, offer community education, and advocate for policy change to support reproductive and birth justice.

She was a fierce advocate for women and mothers and often credited Black women like Shirley Chisholm, Fannie Lou Hamer, and Betty Friedan for teaching her the themes most central to the feminist movement.

💅🏾 We know that's right! Justus Kelley is the first mom to win the Miss USA title.

The 31 year old from Virginia is a foster mom of two and non-profit founder. It wasn't until 2023 that married women and mothers were allowed to compete in Miss USA and in 2024, the cutoff age of 28 was removed.

Kelley is now the first married woman, first mother, and first woman in her 30s to win Miss USA! 👑
