Hepatitis Awareness Month is a reminder that prevention starts with information. Hepatitis can affect the liver with few or no symptoms, making testing and prevention essential.

Vaccines are available for Hepatitis A and B, while Hepatitis C is curable with effective treatment. StartCare’s clinical outcomes show strong success in Hep C treatment, reinforcing what’s possible with early care and connection to services!

In celebration of World Health Day, StartCare was proud to connect with the community last week at the Black Health Connect Mixer NYC. Our team engaged healthcare professionals and community leaders, sharing information about our integrated behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, primary care, and comprehensive support services.

We also introduced our Young Professionals Council to the community, creating new opportunities for emerging leaders to get involved. Events like this help strengthen partnerships and advance health equity across New York City.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Alister Martin and his team to our Central Harlem clinic to discuss how the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and StartCare can partner to improve the lives of our participants.
