A new diagnosis can come with a lot of questions, emotions, and decisions.

But parents do not have to figure everything out at once.

Your child is still your child. A diagnosis simply gives your family more information, more language, and more support to better understand their needs.

Take it one step at a time, and remember, you do not have to do it alone.

What an incredible CEU event!

A huge thank you to Dr. Leslie Quiroz, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA, for an engaging and informative presentation on Caregiver-Mediated IISCAs and Treatment Considerations.

This session gave attendees the opportunity to learn more about Practical Functional Assessment and IISCA, how IISCA differs from traditional functional analysis, and how assessment and Skill-Based Treatment can be adapted for caregiver implementation.

Dr. Quiroz also shared valuable insight on caregiver coaching through BST, telehealth implementation, safety planning, treatment fidelity, and key clinical considerations when using caregiver-mediated models.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this meaningful learning opportunity!

Meet Ashley Ganeshram, M.S., BCBA, LBA!

Ashley is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at United Care ABA, where she is passionate about helping clients build meaningful skills that support independence, confidence, and communication.

For Ashley, one of the most rewarding parts of this work is collaborating with families and clinical teams, then seeing a child independently use a skill they have worked hard to learn. Those moments are especially meaningful when a child is able to communicate something they previously had difficulty expressing, and their excitement is shared by the people who love and support them.

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading on her Kindle, and trying new hobbies. Her latest one is needle-felting!

We’re grateful to have Ashley as part of the United Care ABA team!

A child with special needs can open your heart in ways you may not expect.

They can teach you to slow down, listen more closely, celebrate differently, and notice the beauty in moments others might miss.

For families raising children on the spectrum, there is so much love, learning, patience, growth, and joy woven into the everyday.

The journey may look different, but different is full of possibility.

Choosing an ABA provider is a big decision, and families deserve to feel confident in the care their child is receiving.

A strong provider should offer transparency, clear communication, and individualized support. Parents should see a child who is engaged, connected, and supported in a way that fits who they are.

And if a child consistently does not want to be there, families should feel empowered to ask why.

Good ABA should feel collaborative, thoughtful, and centered around the child’s needs.
