Nursing is a career for everyone.

For Jephte, a former truck driver, the decision to pursue nursing was inspired by his wife and a desire to set an example for his children. For Nasir, nursing offered an opportunity to make a difference in people's lives while building a stable future.

While men currently make up just 12% of the nursing workforce nationwide, students like Nasir and Jephte are helping show that nursing is a rewarding career path for people from all backgrounds and experiences.

There's nothing better than seeing our graduates make a difference in the communities they serve. 💙

Our students participated in Laura's Children Foundation's Annual 1 Mile & More over the weekend, providing education and blood pressure screenings to community members.

Founded by DCIU Practical Nursing Program graduate Laura Bien-Aime, the foundation is dedicated to improving health literacy and promoting healthy lifestyles throughout the community.

We are proud to see our students gaining hands-on experience while serving alongside an organization founded by one of our own graduates. Thank you to Laura's Children Foundation for creating meaningful opportunities to learn, serve, and make a difference!

From health fairs to prom night– our students did it all last week!

On Friday, our students participated in ChesPenn’s Women’s Health Fair, connecting with community members and supporting important conversations around women’s health and wellness. Then on Saturday, they traded scrubs for serving trays at Marple Education Center’s Prom, helping serve dinner to students and families before joining in the celebration on the dance floor!
