✨🧠Trivia Tuesday Answer Reveal!🙋🏽‍♀️✨

Yesterday we let one of our residents’ favorite activities inspire our Trivia Tuesday question and asked… What was Bingo called before “Bingo” caught on?🤔

The correct answer was…

👉 A. BEANO!🫘

Yep — Beano! An early American version of the game was played using dried beans to cover the numbers on each player’s card. When someone completed a winning pattern, they would call out “BEANO!”

Toy salesman Edwin S. Lowe helped popularize the game in the United States around 1930. According to the popular story, during one particularly exciting game, a player accidentally shouted “BINGO!” instead of “BEANO!” — and the name just stuck!

Nearly a century later, we’d say Bingo is still going pretty strong… especially here at Fountain Park! 💙 Our residents always enjoy a little friendly competition and of course winning some prizes too!

✨ I ONCE WAS… ✨

This Labor Day, we’re celebrating so much more than the jobs our residents once held — we’re celebrating the stories, experiences, hard work, and incredible lives behind them. 💙

Teachers. Nurses. Factory workers. Business owners. Homemakers. Caregivers. And so much more. Every board in this video represents another chapter, another accomplishment, and another story worth remembering.

One of my favorite parts of putting this together was hearing the stories that came along with each answer. 🥹 Our residents truly enjoyed reminiscing, sharing where they worked, what they did, and the memories they made along the way. We felt incredibly honored to sit with them, listen, and learn a little more about the lives they have lived.

Because a job title may belong to another chapter, but the memories, experiences, pride, and wisdom never stop being part of who someone is.

This is what it means to Experience the Difference at Fountain Park — taking the time to know the whole person and celebrating every chapter of their story. 💙
