Because so many families depended on everyone pitching in, the school calendar was built around the farming seasons — helping shape the summer break tradition we still know today!☀️☺️

🌸This past Sunday, we celebrated Mother’s Day a little creatively at Fountain Park with our Garden to Canvas event!🌸

We gathered together as women for an afternoon full of laughter, conversation, delicious food, creativity, and beautiful memories.☺️

Using fresh fruits and vegetables to create colorful masterpieces, everyone got to let their creativity bloom while spending meaningful time together. It was such a joy seeing so many smiles, sweet moments, and works of art created throughout the afternoon!🍓🫑🎨

Before Babe Ruth, baseball focused much more on bunts, singles, and stealing bases. Ruth helped usher in the “home run era” with his incredible power hitting ⚾

In 1927, he hit 60 home runs in a single season — a record that stood for 34 years!

What makes his career even more impressive is that before becoming a legendary hitter, Ruth was also an elite pitcher and won three World Series titles with the Boston Red Sox.
