Opal Marie Sadler Bonenberger, 88, was called from this life into God’s eternal care on August 12, 2026, in Palm Coast, Florida. She was born on November 15, 1937, in Paxton, Illinois, the daughter of Jasper Edward Sadler and Daisy Blanche Page Sadler. Opal was the youngest daughter of the couple’s three girls.

Opal was welcomed into Heaven by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Bobby Dean Bonenberger, Sr., who had previously gone home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2024.

Opal was a Baptist and a member of Grace Bible Church in Benton, Illinois. She was a woman of unwavering faith with loyal dedication. She lived her beliefs through kindness and love for her family and friends. Opal had a beautiful way of bringing warmth and a smile wherever she went, making the people around her feel loved. A loyal wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was truly the joy and wit of our family.

She was employed as a transcriptionist with the Franklin County Coroner’s Office and worked in the law offices at the C. A. Jackson Building on the square in Benton, Illinois, the same upstairs offices that both her sisters and later her daughter worked in.

For many years, Opal also worked for and excelled with Prudential Insurance Company. After her retirement, she joined Bob and the staff at Barton & Collins Furniture & Appliance.

Judith Ann “Judy” Frascatore, 86, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on August 11, 2026.

Born in Troy, New York, Judy lived a life rooted in faith, family, laughter, and love. Those who had the privilege of knowing her knew that Judy was truly one of a kind. She had a spit-fire personality, a quick wit, and a wonderful sense of humor. She could make you laugh, tell you exactly what she thought, and show you just how much she cared—all in the same conversation.

Behind that spirited personality was an incredibly big heart. Judy was generous to so many throughout her life, giving freely of herself and helping others whenever she could. Her faith was at the very center of who she was. She loved the Lord deeply and was never shy about sharing the love of Jesus with those around her. Over the course of her life, she was involved with many churches and treasured the time she spent praising the Lord and fellowshipping with others.

Judy also knew how to enjoy the simple things in life. She loved spending her free time fishing, but some of her greatest joy came from simply being surrounded by family and friends. The people she loved were among her greatest treasures, and the many generations of family she leaves behind are a beautiful part of her legacy.

During her working years, Judy worked as an assembler at Cardiac Control, where she assembled pacemakers. She also spent many years working for the News Journal.

Born on October 21, 1972, in Yonkers, New York, Brett lived and attended school in Yorktown Heights, New York, before moving to Dutchess County, where he attended and graduated from Arlington High School.

Brett worked for many years at Walmart before becoming an associate with Home Depot, where he worked for the past 20 years. Most recently, he worked in Palm Coast, Florida, where he had moved to be closer to his mother.

Brett was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was known for his compassionate heart, his kindness, and the genuine care he showed for the people around him. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Brett.

He especially loved the holidays and looked forward to spending time with his family. His niece and nephew held a very special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment he shared with them. His love for his family was evident in the way he showed up for the people he cared about and in the memories he created with them.

Frederick E. “Rick” Fowler, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on August 9, 2026. Born March 29, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York, Rick lived a life defined by service, humor, kindness, and an extraordinary capacity to care for the people around him.

Rick was the kind of man people remembered. He had a quick wit, an often inappropriate sense of humor, and an incredible ability to make people laugh. Beneath the jokes was an exceptionally kind and generous man who would give someone the shirt off his back. If someone needed him, he never said no.

Rick proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later became a New York City firefighter with Engine 205/Ladder 118. He responded to the September 11, 2001 attacks and was the sole surviving member of his fire company, an experience that profoundly shaped the rest of his life. Through everything he experienced, Rick remained someone who believed in giving people grace, forgiving, and moving forward.

Rick was intelligent, endlessly curious, and always ready with a joke, a piece of trivia, or some good advice. He loved spending time with his family, especially celebrating holidays and making memories with his children and grandchildren. More than anything, Rick showed up. The warm and loving heart of Joyce Marie Gibson blessed the heavens above on August 5th, 2026, at the ripe young age of 92. Joyce passed peacefully, painlessly, and unafraid in her sleep at home in Las Palmas in Palm Coast FL, where she lived for the past 4 years with her beloved husband of 73 years, David Lee Gibson along with a community of many cherished friends and bingo buddies.

Born in Venice, Illinois March 21st, 1934, to Mildred Adams and Everett Robertson, she spent the majority of her life in Granite City, Illinois. She was an excellent student who loved school but had to withdraw at a young age to help raise her 5 siblings, all of whom have preceded her in death. She was also tragically preceded in death by her granddaughter Jessica Gibson, Granite City, IL. Her best friends in life were her beloved brother Leo (Dude) Robertson and sister Betty Wiseman. Joyce is survived by her devoted and loving husband David Gibson, daughter Dava Gibson of East Alton Illinois, and son Greg (Diane) Gibson of Palm Coast, Florida. She was the favorite Aunt of many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly as if they were her own children.

Joyce never met a one-armed bandit she couldn’t charm, was a dedicated investor in the local slots and was happiest with a cup of tokens in her hand. Rose (Kupjian) Torosian of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of Franklin, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at 98 years young. Rose was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to Misak and Satanak (Chnozinian) Kupjian, who had emigrated from Armenia in search of a better life.

From an early age, Rose showed the tender, caretaking heart that would define her — helping to raise her younger siblings while her parents worked long hours. Even so, she was a bubbly, joyful young girl who loved going to the movies and taking long Sunday walks with her father through the Boston Public Gardens, window shopping and often catching a show at the Tremont Theater.

She graduated from South Boston High School in 1945, then took a job with General Alloys Corp before spending time as a typist for AT&T. Rose also loved the Armenian dances and summers at Camp Hayastan in Franklin, MA. She met George Torosian in her early twenties at a birthday party in Whitinsville, and they married soon after. Rose moved to Franklin to begin her life with George's family, living alongside her in-laws while George worked the family poultry farm. Her first three sons arrived not long after, and from that moment on, Rose poured her heart into her family. In her eyes, her children's happiness and independence were her proudest achievements. Zbigniew Waleriusz Gabryszewski passed away in Bunnell, Florida on August 3, 2026.

A long-time resident of Palm Coast and New Britain, Connecticut, he emigrated to the United States from Slupsk, Poland as an adult. He distinguished himself in a long career as an aircraft engine manufacturing specialist at Pratt & Whitney. A light-hearted and charming person, he brought a smile to everyone who met him. He loved visiting and learning about new places, buying cars, all desserts, and going to the movies! For entertainment in his retirement, he took up the adventures of driving school buses and community shuttles.

Most of all, he enjoyed being in the company of his beloved wife, Maria, who preceded him in passing.

His loving family includes his daughter Mary Burgio (who also preceded him in passing), daughter Joanna Gabryszewski, son Thaddeus Gabryszewski, grandchildren Joshua Burgio, Maria Burgio, Monika Mihaley, Zora Mihaley, John Mihaley, Helena Gabryszewski, Hamish Gabryszewski, and great granddaughter Alethia. He also leaves behind a cousin, Adam Tomaszewski of Lodz, Poland, countless godchildren, and cherished friends in Palm Coast and New Britain.

He will be honored in a mass at St. Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church in Bunnell, Florida on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 11:oo AM.

Roy J. Miller Jr., 84, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away peacefully at his residence on July 28, 2026.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Roy was the son of the late Roy and Rosemary Miller. He proudly served his country in both the United States Coast Guard and the United States Air Force. Throughout his life, Roy was dedicated to serving his community and those around him.

While living in Niceville, Florida, Roy served as the Assistant Fire Chief. He was also a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, worked as a security guard, and was an amateur (ham) radio operator. A man of faith, Roy faithfully served as an usher at his church for many years. He was known for his commitment to service, strong work ethic, and the friendships he made throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Miller; his son, Edward J. Miller and wife, Tara; his daughter-in-law, Patricia Miller; his grandsons, Roy J. Miller IV and Allen J. Miller; his stepdaughter, Linda Welch; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents and son, Roy J. Miller III.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Middleburg, Florida.

Ryan Scott Foster, age 51, passed away on July 23, 2026.

Ryan was a beloved son, brother, partner, and friend. Though naturally introverted, he had a sharp sense of humor and was incredibly smart and witty. Those who knew him well understood that beneath his quiet nature was a creative mind, a quick wit, and a unique way of seeing the world.

Ryan loved music and especially enjoyed creating music of his own. He also loved computers, technology, and art. His creativity and intelligence came together in one of his proudest accomplishments: coding and completing his own video game before his death.

He also loved camping, hiking, and the solitude and peacefulness of the outdoors. Nature gave Ryan a place to think, create, and simply be himself. He had a deep love for animals and cherished his fur babies, who brought him comfort, companionship, and joy.

Ryan’s life was not always easy, but his struggles were only one part of his story. He was talented, imaginative, funny, intelligent, and deeply loved. He will be remembered for his music, his art, his humor, his remarkable mind, his love of nature, and the things he created and left behind.

Ryan is survived by his partner, Sherry, and her parents, Al and Ilene, whom he loved dearly; his mother, Eileen; his sister, Kelly; his brother-in-law, Ethan; and his nephews, Evan and Luke, who brought him great pride and happiness. He was preceded in death by his father, David Foster.
