❤️ THIS OUTFIT WAITED 10 YEARS FOR LISA. ❤️

And her story is about SO much more than fitting into it again.

My friend Lisa bought this outfit about 10 years ago. It fit… until it didn’t. So it hung in her closet all these years.

When she pulled it out recently, she noticed something pretty incredible—the knot was STILL in the belt from the last time she wore it 10 years ago. 😳

And now? It fits again. 🙌❤️

But THAT isn’t even the best part of Lisa’s story.

Over the past year, she’s stopped looking for one magic answer and started focusing on the whole picture:

✨ Better nutrition
✨ Prioritizing protein
✨ Moving her body
✨ Being intentional with supplements
✨ Working on her mindset
✨ Learning what HER body needs
✨ Simply showing up consistently

And the changes have gone far beyond the scale.

More energy. Better sleep. Better mobility. Less puffiness and bloating. Feeling stronger. Feeling calmer. More confidence. ❤️

And yes—she’s gone from a 14/16 to an 8/10. 🔥👏

But my favorite thing Lisa said?

“I’m not just smaller. I FEEL different.”

THAT. 👏

Because the goal isn’t to chase a number or wait for something to magically do all the work.

The goal is to FEEL BETTER. LIVE BETTER. SHOW UP BETTER. ❤️

Lisa, I am SO proud of you. And I love that this little green outfit hanging in your closet for 10 years now gets to tell one heck of a story. 🥹💚

If you’ve been telling yourself Monday… next month… January 1st… someday…

Maybe your someday can be TODAY. ❤️

Okay, I have A LOT to share with this one because this is one of those full-circle, connect-the-dots moments that I absolutely LOVE. 🥹❤️✨

First, a shoutout to my friend Lani Hill. 💕 Last year, when I started posting on my Mel Hoppius page again, Lani found me through one of my posts. We reconnected, and here we are. 🙌

Now stay with me because this story has layers. 😂

Not long after that, Bravenly Global had an incentive where we could earn a Lola Blankets.

Y’all. I didn’t even know what a Lola Blanket WAS. 😂🤷‍♀️

I earned my first one and thought, OH. MY. GOODNESS. 😍

Then I learned the story behind Lola Blankets, which made me love them even more. ❤️

So what did I do?

I bought TWO more and gave them away. 🎁 Both ladies fell in love with theirs.

Then came Lola Blankets for the family. 😂❤️

I bought baby Lola Blankets for my granddaughters. And let me tell you, Scottie Nan is officially a Lola girl. 🥹💕 She LOVES her Lola!

When our yearly family trip had to be canceled because our sweet Scottie Nan decided she was ready to make her grand entrance WAY earlier than expected, I bought Ryann and Abbie Lola Blankets instead. ❤️ And, of course, they fell in love with theirs too.

So now fast-forward to THIS WEEK…

Lola Blankets is having 50% OFF with code AUG50! 😳🎉

Of course, I already placed an order yesterday for some Christmas gifts because HELLOOOOO… 50% OFF! 🎄🎁😂

Then Lani messages me this morning:

“Thought of you!” 😂❤️

I told her, “Oh friend, I already made my purchase yesterday!” 🤣

But THEN she tells me she bought herself a BABY-SIZE Lola to keep on her lap while she’s working at her desk.

💡💡💡

LANI!!!

Why had I never thought of this?! 😂

A baby-size Lola would be PERFECT for traveling! ✈️🚗🛳️ Small enough to take on the airplane, in the car, and on the cruises we have coming up later this year.

So apparently… Lolli needs her very own baby Lola now too. 😂🙋‍♀️

And THIS is why I love connecting the dots.

A Facebook post helped an old friend find me again. ❤️
Bravenly introduced me to Lola Blankets. ❤️
That first blanket turned into gifts for friends, daughters, daughters-in-law and grandbabies. ❤️
And now that same friend who found me through Facebook just gave me another great idea.

Isn’t God good? 🙏✨

Sometimes I look back at all these little connections and think, You just can’t make this stuff up. One thing leads to another, one relationship leads to another, one blessing leads to another.

I LOVE CONNECTING THE DOTS. 🥹❤️

And Lani… thank you for finding me again. Thank you, Bravenly, for introducing me to Lola. And thank you AGAIN, Lani, because now you’ve convinced me that I obviously NEED a travel-size Lola. 😂✈️🛳️

And if you’ve been wondering what all the Lola fuss is about…

GO GET YOU ONE WHILE THEY’RE 50% OFF! 🏃‍♀️💨😂

Code: AUG50 🎉

THIS. ❤️ This is why it matters how we show up on social media.

People are watching. People are listening. And so many times, you will never know who you inspired. 🙌

Then every once in a while, you get a message like this one… and you’re reminded that what you put out into the world really can make a difference in someone else’s life. 🥹❤️

A few years ago, I came up with five things I strive to bring to this platform every single day:

✨ Education
✨ Support
✨ Encouragement
✨ Motivation
✨ Inspiration

Those five things still guide me.

For years and years, I’ve prayed, “God, use me as a vessel for Your people.” 🙏 And I’ve learned that being His vessel can look like a million different things.

Sometimes it’s sharing Scripture. ✝️
Sometimes it’s sharing something I’ve learned.
Sometimes it’s encouraging someone in business.
Sometimes it’s talking about health and wellness.
And sometimes it’s simply reminding somebody that a 10-minute walk COUNTS. 👟❤️

Years ago, when I owned my boot camp, we went FAST AND FURIOUS. 😂🔥 Faster was better. Harder was better. Push, push, PUSH.

But age, experience and wisdom have taught me something…

It isn’t about how fast you go. It’s about showing up.

One foot in front of the other. 👣

Movement doesn’t have to be three miles.
It doesn’t have to be a 15-minute mile.
It doesn’t have to be an hour workout.
It doesn’t have to look like anybody else’s movement.

MOVE YOUR BODY.

Because when we move our body, we move our blood. ❤️
We wake up our brain. 🧠
We create energy.
We clear our minds.
And when we do it together, we build relationships and community, too.

Connie and I—and the other ladies who join us when they can—have learned that firsthand. Some mornings we’re walking and talking so much that suddenly we’re DONE. 😂 This morning flew by because we had SO MUCH to talk about!

That’s what it’s about. ❤️

And here’s what I want YOU to think about today…

We spend a whole lot of time on these little devices scrolling. 📱 Scroll, scroll, scroll.

But what if you POSTED?

What if you shared what you love?
What you’re passionate about?
What you’ve learned?
What you’re good at?
What God has brought you through?
What you know that could help somebody else?

Imagine if thousands of people opened social media every day with the intention of leaving it a little more positive than they found it. 🌎✨

You don’t need a huge following.

You don’t need to be an expert.

You don’t need everyone’s approval.

You just need to be willing to use what God gave you. 🙏

We ALL have gifts and talents. Some people haven’t even tapped into theirs yet because they’re worried about judgment, fear, what somebody might say, or whether anybody will care.

But somebody DOES care.

Somebody needs what you know.

Somebody needs the encouragement you almost didn’t post.

Somebody may decide to put their shoes on and walk today because you reminded them that 10 minutes still counts. 👟

Maybe today is the day you stop worrying about who might judge you and start thinking about who you might HELP. ❤️

Be the light. ✨
Share the good.
Encourage somebody.
Teach somebody.
Inspire somebody.

Use your platform for purpose. 🙏❤️

You may never know the impact you made…

But every once in a while, God just might send you a little message to remind you. 🥹🙌

🥚🐓 IT DOESN’T MATTER WHEN YOU START. IT MATTERS THAT YOU START.

And once you start… KEEP GOING. ❤️

In 2024, I decided it was time to bring chickens back to Stonewall Acres.

We had chickens more than 10 years ago, but this time was different. My mindset was different. My passion for rebuilding and growing this farm was different.

And it started with chickens. 🐓🌱

Fast-forward almost 2½ years…

🥚 We’ve raised our own flock.
🐣 We’ve hatched our own chicks for the first time.
🐓 We’ve added different breeds and created the most beautiful barnyard mix.
🏡 We’ve even sold chicks and helped other people start—or restart—their own flocks.

Do I know everything about chickens?

HECK NO. 😂

I learn something new ALL THE TIME.

I’m in groups. I’m in chats. I watch videos. I ask questions. I learn from people who know things I don’t.

And then I keep going.

That’s it.

START. LEARN. KEEP GOING. GROW. SHARE WHAT YOU LEARN. ❤️

And isn’t that LIFE?

I see so many people with ideas, dreams and plans who never begin because somebody convinced them they weren’t ready.

“You don’t know enough.”

“You’ve never done that before.”

“What makes you think you can do it?”

But how exactly are people supposed to LEARN if we don’t give them room to be beginners?!

We need people growing food. 🌱
We need people raising animals. 🐓
We need people rebuilding farms and creating homesteads. 🏡

And NO—you don’t need hundreds of acres. People are doing incredible things on an acre or LESS.

We need people learning the old ways AND creating new ways.

And most importantly, we need more people encouraging beginners instead of criticizing them.

It reminds me of the old saying in nursing that “nurses eat their young.” I always hated that mentality.

How do we raise up the next generation if we’re constantly tearing down the people trying to learn?

That applies to nursing.

Farming.

Business.

Motherhood.

Fitness.

Faith.

Crafting.

Cooking.

Gardening.

Basically EVERYTHING. ❤️

Do I consider myself some expert chicken farmer?

NOPE. 😂

I’m just somebody who loves learning, loves sharing, loves growing and isn’t afraid to figure things out along the way.

Our chickens are loved. They’re fed well. They have clean water, shelter and everything they need.

And maybe there’s another life lesson right there…

Give something what it needs to thrive, nurture it consistently, and amazing growth can happen. 🌱

The same is true for PEOPLE.

So whatever has been tugging at your heart…

START.

You don’t have to know everything.

You don’t have to have everything.

You don’t have to wait until somebody else thinks you’re ready.

There are plenty of us out here who will encourage you, support you, motivate you, inspire you and share what we’ve learned.

But ultimately?

🔥 Your desire.
🔥 Your drive.
🔥 Your passion.
🔥 Your work ethic.
🔥 Your willingness to keep learning.

That part comes from YOU.

And above all else, keep praying. 🙏🏻

Keep asking God to guide your steps. Keep listening when He leads you into the next season, the next chapter, the next adventure.

Whatever we’re calling it today. 😂❤️

Just don’t stop.

Because you have absolutely NO IDEA what that one little decision to START could look like 2½ years from now.

I started with chickens.

And look at all these beautiful eggs. 🥚🐓❤️

👇🏻 Tell me: What’s something YOU want to start, learn or grow?

🚶‍♀️❤️ DAY 18 OF WALKING ACCOUNTABILITY! ❤️🚶‍♀️

Here we are — DAY 18, and Connie is STILL going strong! 👏👏👏

The weather has dampened a few of our days 🌧️, but it has NOT stopped her. She has met her goal every single day. And this morning she shared that she’s now one of only 50-ish people left in the challenge! 😳🔥

And you know what we talked about this morning?

FINISHING.

That’s it. That has been our goal from the very beginning.

I’ve done a LOT of challenges over the years, and one thing I know for sure: a lot of people start strong, but not everyone finishes.

From Day 1, I told Connie, “No matter what happens, we are going to FINISH.”

Not perfectly.
Not necessarily first.
Not better than everyone else.

WE. ARE. GOING. TO. FINISH. 💪❤️

And that’s exactly what she’s going to do.

So maybe somebody needs to hear this today: START TODAY.

You don’t need to wait until Monday.
You don’t need to wait until September 1st.
You don’t need a brand-new month, a brand-new week, or the “perfect” time.

Set YOUR goals. Make them realistic. Make them yours. And then go after them. 🎯

There is something so powerful about being able to look back and say, “I finished what I started.”

And here’s another thing I told Connie this morning…

I LOVE getting up early and moving my body. 🌅🚶‍♀️ Yes, walking is good for my physical body, but goodness, it is SO good for my brain too.

The conversation.
The camaraderie.
The laughter.
Sharing life while we walk.
Getting our blood flowing and our bodies moving.
Starting the day with those feel-good hormones doing their thing. 🙌

It changes the entire tone of my day.

There is just something about walking beside another person and talking about LIFE. ❤️

So if you’re not already doing it, try getting up and MOVING first thing in the morning. And even better — find somebody to do it with.

It can make a difference in your day… your week… your month… your year… and ultimately, your LIFE. ✨

👏 GREAT JOB, CONNIE! DAY 18 DOWN!

We started this together, and we’re going to FINISH it together. ❤️🚶‍♀️🔥

🥗 FOOD IS FUEL! 💪🍓🥑🥚

When I came across these graphics, I knew I had to share them! There is SO much great information here about foods that can help us add more protein, fiber, antioxidants, magnesium and iron to our everyday meals. 🙌

And what I love is that these aren’t complicated foods. So many of them are things we already have in our refrigerator, pantry—or maybe even growing in the garden! 🌱

Chicken, eggs, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, lentils, blueberries, dark chocolate (YES! 🍫👏), chia seeds, flaxseed, avocado, broccoli, pumpkin seeds, almonds, spinach, beans… so many simple ways to add a little more nutrition to our plates.

I definitely see some things I already eat regularly, but I also see a few things I’m going to start adding more often. Sometimes it’s not about completely changing the way we eat. It’s simply about learning and then making one better choice at a time. ❤️

So let’s make this interactive! 👇👇👇

🥚 What foods on these lists do you already eat regularly?
🥑 What is ONE food you’re going to start eating—or eat more of—after seeing these graphics?

I can tell you, I’m going to be making some additions to my plate! 🙋‍♀️🥗

Save these graphics, share them with a friend, and let’s keep learning together. Knowledge gives us the opportunity to make better choices! 💪❤️

🧶💕 Our Crochet Group is meeting again TODAY at 2:00 PM here at Stonewall Acres!

We’ve practiced the beginning skill, and now we’re ready to turn it into a finished project! Today, we’ll be working on completing a crochet chain bookmark. 📖🧶 How fun is that?

Our plan for now is to meet every Sunday at 2:00 PM so we can continue learning, practicing and growing together in our new art!

Whether you are a complete beginner or a crochet veteran, we would love to have you! Beginners can learn right alongside us, and we can always use a few more experienced helpers who are willing to share their knowledge and encouragement. 💕 There is room for everyone around the table!

🎉 TOMORROW is our monthly gathering at Stonewall Acres—and it’s also my 54th birthday! 🎂🥳

Honestly, what better way to celebrate than with health, joy, peace, excitement, community and a whole lot of fun right here on the farm? 💕🌻

Here’s what we have planned:

✨ 10:00–11:00 a.m. — Products & Testimonies
Come learn about the products, their thoughtfully selected ingredients and hear real stories from people who are using them. One of the things I love most is the simplicity—taking fewer products while supporting multiple areas of wellness, without having a cabinet overflowing with supplements!

✨ 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. — Business Opportunity
I’m actively looking for both women AND men who would love to come alongside me and partner with this incredible faith-based company. 🙏🏻

I’m looking for business partners who put their faith first, genuinely want to help people and are excited to see what we can grow together. This volume-based opportunity has been such a blessing, and I cannot wait to share more about what makes it so special! ❤️

There will be giveaways, surprises, birthday fun and plenty of laughter—because it’s always fun at Stonewall Acres! 🎁🎈

Bring a friend…or bring two! Everyone who comes will leave with a gift! 🎁

📅 Saturday, August 15
⏰ 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
📍 Stonewall Acres

Come celebrate with me and see what Bravenly is all about. I would absolutely love to have you here! 🥰🎉

There is no better sound when you’re canning than hearing that little POP! 👏🏻🍅🫙

These seven beautiful jars of homemade tomato juice were already popping as I pulled them from the water bath—and oh yeah, that’s what I’m talking about! WOOHOO! 🙌🏻❤️

My daddy absolutely loved fresh tomato juice, and we have an old family recipe for tomato potato soup that I’ll be making in honor of him and his mom, my Granny Hilda Mae. 🥹❤️ Her beautiful name lives on through Abbie Mae and my great-niece Clara Mae. Family history, cherished memories, and traditions preserved one jar at a time. 🫙✨

Another successful day in the kitchen here at Stonewall Acres! And now there’s just a little cleanup left—but when you’re doing something this meaningful, even the cleanup feels a little sweeter. 🍅🏡❤️
