Jaymee Krauter, LPC

Jaymee Krauter, LPC I’m a Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant-in-Training. I specialize in childhood trauma, attachment trauma, and anxiety disorders. And trauma can be healed.

I’m a Certified EMDR Therapist & Consultant-in-Training, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I became a trauma therapist after doing my own work to heal childhood trauma. It was in therapy that I learned that the root of my problems resulted from attachment trauma and that I had Complex PTSD. That realization created a complete paradigm shift. Discovering that I wasn’t the probl

em—that my trauma was—was both shocking and liberating. That truth opened the door to self-compassion, and that’s where my healing truly began. My life experience, education, and ongoing professional development have helped me connect with clients on a deep, intuitive level. I “get” them—and they feel that. I build strong rapport because I can hold space without judgment, and nothing brings me more satisfaction than watching someone realize they are not permanently damaged—they were traumatized.

Bridging the Gap Between the EMDR Training Manual and the EMDR Session

Remember leaving your EMDR basic training? You packed up your manual, looked over the 8 phases, and felt a genuine wave of inspiration. But then in session, your client starts looping or goes blank during reprocessing. Human nervous systems are complex and it is incredibly common to feel a dip in your clinical confidence.

You don't have to navigate these real-world reprocessing challenges alone. Starting Friday, July 17, 2026, I am beginning a Virtual EMDR Consultation Group series, a monthly human-first Virtual EMDR Consultation Group. This is a collaborative, supportive 5-month cohort designed to help you step away from rigid textbook scripts and move into a space where you can safely start to understand why you are doing what you are doing.

We will meet online from 1:00–3:00 PM EST once a month through November to look directly at how to do EMDR with complex trauma. Every 2-hour group provides hours directly applicable toward your EMDRIA certification requirements. Look over the upcoming dates and consider joining a cohort of others who are eager to learn like you.

Individual or Group EMDR Consultation: Which do you actually need?

Consultation should be as relational and thoughtful as the therapy we provide. It’s about finding a supportive space to move from "I'm not a good EMDR Therapist." to "I am confident in my EMDR skills."

I’m currently accepting consultees who are ready to dive deep into everything from traditional protocols to EMDR 2.0 and Intensives.

I’m a Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant-in-Training at Pittsburgh Therapy Group, but more importantly, I’m someone who believes that you shouldn't have to be in therapy forever.

My approach is direct, evidence-based, and focused on one thing: getting you back to your life. Whether we meet for weekly sessions or work through an EMDR Intensive, my goal is to help you navigate those "stuck" points so you can move forward with clarity.

Confidence in EMDR doesn’t come from a manual—it comes from mentorship.

It’s one thing to learn the protocols; it’s another to know what to do when a session goes off-script. I believe consultation should be a low-stress, "human-first" space where you can stop second-guessing every interweave and start trusting your clinical intuition.

I’m currently accepting new consultees who want to move beyond basic theory and into confident, attachment-focused application.

Not sure if we’re a good fit? I’ve shared exactly what to expect from my consultation style in my latest blog post. Read the guide here: https://pittsburghtherapygroup.com/finding-your-footing-emdr-consultant/

Ever feel like there’s a massive disconnect between what you know logically and what you feel emotionally? 🧠💔
On paper, you’re successful. You’re capable. But deep down? You’re just waiting for the world to find out you’re “faking it.”

We call this the Quiet Battle. It’s the relentless inner critic that wakes you up at 3 AM. It’s the perfectionism that paralyzes your best ideas. It’s walking into a room full of accolades yet feeling like you don’t belong. This isn't just "stress"—it's a nervous system stuck in survival mode.

At Pittsburgh Therapy Group, we specialize in Self-Identity Therapy. We don’t just talk about the disconnect; we help you rewire it. Using evidence-based tools like EMDR, we bridge that gap between your head and your heart. We help you move from simply thinking “I am worthy” to actually feeling it in your bones.

Imagine navigating your career and your relationships without that constant weight on your chest. Imagine feeling secure, creative, and genuinely confident—not just performing confidence for the sake of others. That shift is real, and it’s what our clients achieve every day.

Ready to close the gap? We provide two paths to healing: ✨ Traditional Weekly Sessions for consistent, ongoing support. 🚀 EMDR Intensives for those ready to do deep, focused work in a shorter timeframe.

You don’t have to keep fighting yourself. Stop surviving and start being.

Certification is a process. But it’s also a relationship. Who’s walking it with you matters.

When you’re working toward EMDR certification or just pursuing consultation, it’s easy to get stuck in checkbox mode—counting hours, logging sessions, making sure you’re “doing it right.” And yes, the structure matters. But your consultant shouldn’t just be a signature at the end of the process.

The wrong fit can leave you feeling watched, boxed in, or second-guessing yourself—like there’s one “right” way to be a therapist and you somehow missed the memo.

I wrote a guide on How to Choose an EMDR Consultant because I believe consultation should feel as relational, thoughtful, and human as the work we do with our clients.

Whether you’re drawn to non-traditional models like Intensives or EMDR 2.0, or more traditional EMDR protocols, you need a space where it’s okay to be unsure, imperfect, and still learning—a good fit matters.

Good consultation helps you move from “Am I doing this right?” to “I trust my clinical judgment.”
That shift changes everything.

I’m currently accepting consultees who are ready to engage deeply, think critically, and develop their own rhythm within the protocol—without losing themselves in the process.

The holidays have a way of stirring up attachment wounds, activating familiar family roles, and leaving both clients—and therapists—with an emotional hangover. This consultation group is designed to support EMDR therapists as they help their clients process the triggers that emerged while visiting family and prepare for future encounters with greater stability and self-compassion. Together, we’ll use the AIP model and the 8 Phases of EMDR as our framework to conceptualize and treat holiday activation. Sign up today!
