☀️ Summer in Arkansas can be brutal, and heat can become dangerous faster than you think. Know the signs of heatstroke—it could save a life.

🚨 High body temperature (104°F or higher)
🚨 Hot, red, dry, or damp skin
🚨 Confusion, slurred speech, or unusual behavior
🚨 Severe headache
🚨 Dizziness or fainting
🚨 Nausea or vomiting
🚨 Rapid, strong pulse
🚨 Loss of consciousness

Heatstroke is a medical emergency. If you suspect someone has heatstroke:
✅ Call 911 immediately.
✅ Move them to a cooler place.
✅ Remove excess clothing.
✅ Cool them with cold water, wet towels, ice packs, or a fan while waiting for help.
❌ Do not give anything to drink if they are unconscious or confused.

Remember to:
💧 Stay hydrated.
🧢 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
🌳 Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
👶👵 Check on children, older adults, and neighbors who may be more vulnerable.
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle—not even for a minute.
