🎉 Celebrating a big accomplishment in Hand Therapy!

Please join us in congratulating R. DeNeah Cox, MS, OTR/L, CHT, who recently earned the credentials to perform upper-extremity dry needling as part of her hand therapy services!

DeNeah is now 1 of only 13 Certified Hand Therapists in Maryland with this credential - an exciting achievement that adds another specialized tool to her clinical skill set.

Dry needling is one of the techniques our clinicians may use to help address pain, muscle tension, trigger points, tissue mobility, and other soft-tissue restrictions when clinically appropriate. DeNeah is particularly interested in fascia needling to reduce scar adhesions to improve mobility.

A big shoutout to DeNeah for continuing to expand her expertise and bringing advanced techniques to the patients she serves! 👏

Meet Adam!

After seeing Dr. Turner for an Achilles rupture repair, Adam came to our Leonardtown Physical Therapy Clinic ready to put in the work. After seven months of dedicated and comprehensive physical therapy with Rebecca, PT and Kaitlyn, PTA, he just recently graduated from our care!

Adam’s goals were to return to playing soccer, continue coaching, and regain strength and mobility. When asked if he met those goals, he said: “Yes! PT allowed me to methodically regain strength, mobility, and confidence to return to sports and pickup strength and conditioning exercises where I left off.”

When asked about his experience with us at CAO, he also shared:
“The entire staff was attentive to my goals, listened, and put me on the path to success. Couldn’t have done it without them!”

Meet Christian!

Christian is a repeat patient with us at CAO. He recently came to our Leonardtown PT clinic with an acute back strain that caused severe back spasms, forcing him to withdraw from a golf tournament he planned to play in.

Through a combination of dry needling, some progressive strength training, and mobility work, Christian was able to get back on the green and return to the sport he loves. He even won a tournament at Whiskey Creek Golf Club shooting a 73 with 5 birdies!

Helping our patients return to the activities they love is why we do what we do! Way to go, Christian! We’re proud to be part of your journey🏆
