Christmas came early at The Lodge! 🎄☀️
Our Christmas in July celebration was filled with matching pajamas, presents, games, a reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, and delicious frozen hot chocolate. It was a day full of laughter, holiday spirit, and wonderful memories with our residents. Who says you have to wait until December to celebrate? ❤️🎁🎅

When Dementia Changes Behavior. What many people don't realize is that these behaviors are often forms of communication.

Families frequently encounter:
• Repetitive questions
• Agitation
• Wandering
• Resistance to care
• Sleep disturbances

A person living with dementia may be expressing fear, confusion, pain, loneliness, or frustration in the only way they can.

Understanding the reason behind a behavior can completely change how we respond.

During our upcoming presentation, we'll discuss practical communication strategies that can reduce stress for both caregivers and loved ones.

The Lodge residents had a fantastic outing to Zach & Lou's BBQ! We enjoyed delicious barbecue, a visit from the famous Idaho Potato Truck, and even got to see “Spud on the Bus." The food was outstanding, the hospitality was exceptional, and everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you, Zach & Lou's, for such a warm welcome!

However, memory loss that interferes with daily life may signal something more serious.
