Even though temps are dropping tick borne diseases are still a public health concern make sure you continue your personal protective measures.

Avoid Mosquito Bites
- Apply insect repellent when outdoors
- Be aware of peak mosquito hours (dawn to dusk)
- Wearing long sleeves, long pants, and socks when outdoors

Mosquito-proof your home
- Drain standing water - Mosquitoes lay their eggs in water!
- Install or repair screens on all windows and doors

Canton remains MODERATE risk.

The majority of mosquito-borne disease cases occur in August and September.

The Canton Board of Health annual Health fair will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026 from 10am-1pm at the Canton High School cafeteria.

We will have local vendors, town departments, and a large flu clinic for ages 4+.

There will be activities for kids including face painting, teddy bear clinic, crafts, and more!
