Before there were treatment facilities, before there were programs or clinical frameworks, there was Allie Gibson, and a open door.

Allie and his wife opened their own home to people in their community who were struggling with alcohol, simply because they believed everyone deserved a chance at a better life. That same heart is what our center was built on. Since opening as a Halfway House in 1979, Gibson Center for Behavioral Change has grown to serve over 1,600 people a year across Southeast Missouri, and our why has never changed.
