It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Calvin Coolidge Scott, age 82, who went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion, Illinois.

Calvin will be remembered for a life marked by unwavering faith, dedicated service, and a deep devotion to his family, friends, and community. His kindness, wisdom, and steadfast spirit touched the lives of many and will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dr. Clifford D. Mosley, 91, answered the Lord's calling on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at River Crossing Rehab and Healthcare Center in St. Lous, MO.

Funeral services will be held at Bethel AME Church, 316 E. Jackson St., Carbondale on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. A visitation will occur prior to the services from 11:00 a.m. to 12 :00 p.m. at the Church. Family friends are invited to gather to celebrate a life marked by wisdom, humor, generosity, and love.

He will be laid to rest in Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale, the community that remained forever close to his heart.
