It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Calvin Coolidge Scott, age 82, who went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion, Illinois.

Calvin will be remembered for a life marked by unwavering faith, dedicated service, and a deep devotion to his family, friends, and community. His kindness, wisdom, and steadfast spirit touched the lives of many and will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family appreciates your prayers and expressions of sympathy during this time of bereavement. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 19 from 5pm - 8pm at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 803 N. Robert a stalls Ave., Carbondale, IL.
