☀️🔥 HEAT vs. INFLAMMATION 🔥☀️
One of the most common questions we hear during the summer is:
"Won't the hot weather affect my thermography scan?"
The short answer: No! 💛
Medical thermography isn't simply measuring how hot your skin feels from being outside. It's evaluating heat patterns and vascular activity within the body that may indicate areas of inflammation or physiological change.
That's why every thermography appointment includes an acclimation period in a temperature-controlled room before imaging begins. This allows your body to adjust so we're seeing YOUR body's natural thermal patterns—not the summer weather. 🌡️
⚠️ However, if you have an active sunburn, we'll need to reschedule your appointment. Sunburn creates excess heat and inflammation in the skin, which can interfere with the accuracy of your thermal images. We want your scan to provide the clearest and most reliable results possible.
🔥 Summer heat is temporary.
🔥 Sunburn causes active inflammation.
🔥 Thermography is designed to identify your body's unique thermal patterns—not temporary changes caused by skin damage.
Whether it's July or January, thermography remains a powerful tool for monitoring breast health, inflammation, circulation, and overall wellness.
