After 50, most guidance lands around a half gram of protein per pound of body weight a day.

Eggs. Greek yogurt. Cottage cheese. Beans. It adds up faster than you'd think.

Not sure how much protein you should be consuming? Ask at your next visit.

Swap the bag. Keep the crunch.

Kids don't need to give up snacks…they need better options within reach.

Easy swaps that actually work:
• Apple slices + peanut butter instead of fruit snacks
• Air-popped popcorn instead of chips
• Cheese + whole-grain crackers instead of cookies
• Frozen grapes instead of candy

Healthy habits start in the kitchen, and they stick when they taste good.

Every journey starts with a single step…or heel 👣

In the first 48 hours, a few drops of blood screen your newborn for dozens of serious conditions–most of them treatable when detected early.

Ask your OB/GYN what to expect once your bundle of joy arrives.

Congratulations to Faye Troublefield, Phlebotomist
Winner of the "We Own It" Award

Recently, we had an admitted patient that was very reluctant to have his blood drawn. Despite many efforts from several individuals he was unmovable and refused every attempt. When longtime Phlebotomist Faye Troublefield heard of this situation she jumped into action. She wasn't asked or told to assist, she just did.

She made contact with the patient, introduced herself and engaged him in conversation. She intuitively met this patient where was and made a personal connection. She professionally addressed his concerns and helped him understand the importance of the blood draw and subsequent testing. She helped the patient understand how "just a blood draw" could make a positive difference in his care journey. At the end of the encounter, not only did the blood draw occur, but Faye had made a new friend.

Faye's natural inclination to step up and go the extra mile to assure a patient received the necessary care exemplifies her dedication and compassion to those we serve. This is but one example of her "We Own It" mentality. Faye's commitment to our patients serves as an example to us all, everyday. Congratulations, Faye!

Creatine made its name in the weight room…but it may do its best work after 60 💪

Research suggests it supports muscle, brain health and energy–all things that can quietly slip with age.

As with all supplements, ask your P*P whether it’s a fit for you.
