I still watch the video Dawn sent of my dad dancing in the main office with Jen Kirby. That simple moment brings a smile to my face and is a memory I will treasure forever.

Thursday we celebrated our August Birthdays with a yummy double chocolate cake provided by Staci Brady, CC Auditor, ice cream from our Open House made by Kevin Neidig, and entertainment from singer Jon King. The beautiful birthday flowers were provided by the Suburban Garden Club. Patti J. and Ray F. were our residents with birthdays this month. Patti received a pretty nightgown with pink flowers on it, and Ray got a brown t-shirt and a red polo shirt. We celebrated our birthdays with the August carnival theme one last time and had an enjoyable time.

We made some watermelons this week for our Art Gallery in September. We also had a good old-fashioned bean snapping session on the front porch. It was so interesting to listen to the conversations happening between our residents. We also had a small visitor join our party.
