With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Ann Davis Dickerson on August 6 2026 at the age 80, from Tenaha, Texas.
Doris was born on August 4, 1946, in Carthage, Texas, to Tye Joseph Davis and Bertha Mae Davis. She grew up attending school in both Carthage, Texas, and Cheyenne, Wyoming, a place she always hoped to return to someday.
Doris was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family. She worked for many years as a cashier at several convenience stores, where her friendly smile and warm personality made lasting impressions on those she met.
She attended various churches throughout her life and had a deep love for the Lord. More than anything, she wanted her children and grandchildren to know that God loved them. She faithfully taught them to pray and encouraged them to keep their faith. Doris also loved to sing, often making up her own fun and quirky songs that brought laughter and smiles to everyone around her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for making ordinary moments memorable.
She is survived by her loving daughters: Lisa Evans and husband Terry of DeBerry, Texas, Cristi Estes and husband Johnny of Tenaha, Texas and Connie Coile and husband Wayne of Tenaha, Texas.
She also leaves behind seven beloved grandchildren, nine cherished great-grandchildren, and her special friend Helen Estes, along with Fan Stephens and wife Sandra and numerous...
