If you know John in Intake, you probably know the smile, and chances are, you’ve heard a joke or two along the way. 🙂

John M, intake nurse, has a knack for making people feel welcome, even when they’re walking through our doors on a really hard day.

When an ambulance arrives, John notices. He heads to reception, greets the patient and EMS team, and brings the kind of calm, friendly presence that can make an unfamiliar place feel a little less intimidating.

His coworkers see it every day: the humor, the quick response, the way he reads a room, and the genuine care he shows the people around him. And in Intake, where first impressions often happen during some of life’s hardest moments, that kind of presence matters.

🏆 Congratulations, John, on your Service Excellence Award! We’re lucky to have your smile, your sense of humor, and your steady presence welcoming people to WBI.

A great week connecting with Wyoming’s healthcare community.

WBI CEO Mike Phillips and Director of Business Development Jessi were glad to attend the Wyoming Hospital Association Annual Meeting in Cheyenne this week, connecting with healthcare leaders from across the state.

And look who we got to be neighbors with 👀 — Kristen and the Wyoming Telehealth Network!

WBI is grateful to work alongside Kristen, the Wyoming Telehealth Network, and the Wyoming Institute For Disabilities in supporting efforts to make healthcare more accessible across Wyoming, especially through telehealth and stronger connections between providers and communities.

Thank you to the Wyoming Hospital Association for bringing Wyoming’s healthcare community together this week.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

Su***de prevention starts with seeing the person in front of us — noticing when something is different, asking the question, listening, and helping someone connect with support.

WBI CEO Mike Phillips shared more with Oil City News today about what that can look like in our homes, workplaces and communities across Wyoming.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988. Help is available 24/7.

Su***de prevention doesn’t begin at the point of crisis. It begins earlier.💜

It can be a coworker who notices something has changed. A parent who asks one more question. A friend who stays in the conversation. A teacher, nurse, doctor, or neighbor who takes someone seriously and helps them find support.

That’s why you’ll see people from across WBI standing behind this message: su***de prevention doesn't belong to one department or one profession.

Notice. Ask. Listen. Connect. Be there.

Throughout September, we’ll be sharing practical information about warning signs, support, and where to turn when someone may need help.
If you need help now, call or text 988.

When technology threatens to slow things down, Adam doesn’t just fix the immediate problem — he makes sure the team is better prepared the next time. 👨🏻‍💻

That’s what stood out in Adam's recent Service Excellence nomination.

Adam, a Medical Assistant in WBI’s Outpatient & Telehealth Clinic, stepped in when a last-minute Zoom issue threatened to disrupt the schedule. He helped resolve the problem, then took the time to walk his coworker through the process so she would be able to handle it independently in the future.

It’s a simple example of what makes someone a strong teammate and leader: being dependable, sharing what you know, and helping others succeed.

Congratulations, Adam, on your Service Excellence Award! 👏

Finding the right therapist is about more than finding an opening — it’s about finding the right fit.

WBI’s Outpatient & Telehealth team includes therapists with a wide range of specialties, approaches, and experience, giving individuals and families more options when choosing the care that works best for them.

With flexible scheduling and in-person and virtual appointments, our team can serve clients across Wyoming and, where licensure allows, beyond state lines.

Whether someone is looking for a specific therapeutic approach or simply trying to find a therapist they connect with, having a team with different specialties makes that search a little easier.
