TPM-ISM
You will DREAM, but will you ACT?

GOOD MORNING FROM TPM!

Establishing the inner environment to be strong amidst the realities of the outer world is a matter of training the mind.

I spend an adequate amount of time performing physical exercise…

BUT

Far more time training my mind to be conscious.

Yesterday morning, my normal meditation routine had to be slightly shifted because of a violent thunderstorm…

BUT

I still found time to get it done.

This mentality of not skipping my daily practice has served me well.

It’s allowed me to create the proper perception inside my mind so I don’t beat myself up, feel defeated, or disempower myself because of external circumstances.

Taking time to sit in silence allows us to build awareness of our thought patterns.

In time, we learn to eliminate ruminating and debilitating thoughts by empowering our internal awareness to go where we want to go.

I love sitting in silence as much as I love hot tamales.

The silence is a messenger.

The silence is a lightbulb in a room of dark.

Take the time to train your mind.

Take the time to sit in the silence even if it’s uncomfortable.

Take the time to examine how you think.

Take the time to reflect on how your thinking serves you.

Distracted thinking?

Practical thinking?

Too much thinking?

Eventually, you’ll stop thinking so much…

AND

START THINKING ONLY WHEN YOU NEED TO!

I want everyone to WIN!

GO WIN!!!

GOOD EVENING FROM TPM!

What you see here is the confident CEO of the 1993 Gus Macker Championship Team…

DILL PICKLE MACKOWSKI’s.

I’m kidding about the CEO.

I only call myself the CEO because I came up with the name.

This was an intentionally flippant move on my part.

We have to have confidence to move through the world.

If we’ve created ourselves a certain way by putting in the work, this confidence is far easier to come by.

When it came to basketball, I put in the work.

My three teammates were all great dudes.

Jeremy Wightman was the post feeder who could hit a three here and there.

Wightman could play defense and disrupt somebody, and was also a good athlete who could anticipate well.

Kevin Kelly was the sense of humor who could hit a bucket when we needed it and he knew his role.

Essentially, get out of the way so the one and only Ryan Schultz could operate.

Schultz was a top dog finisher who could find me anywhere for a bucket.

We played joyfully and connected during that three on three tournament in the scorching heat of early August, 1993.

My vision of seeing ‘DILL PICKLE MACKOWSKI’s’ on the championship board as people looked on in dismay had come true.

I remember entering the dunk contest that year.

The flooring was really bouncy, but the ball I had was very inflated.

I missed my signature, toss the ball off the floor and throw it down dunk.

The crowd booed.

I fingered the crowd.

Well, come on, that’s bad crowdsmanship.

My apologies.

DILL PICKLE MACKOWSKI can’t take anything too seriously!

Remember, the memories are the most precious things we make in this life.

GO WIN!!!

GOOD MORNING FROM TPM!

In my meditation each morning, I have a special place in my practice devoted to those who are suffering or being challenged by something.

In the last couple of months I have been ramping up my spiritual connection with the Divine.

I am asking all of the generous hearts out there to dig deep into their pocket books to make a huge difference for our buddy AC.

I think we can all agree that struggling with two major diseases at the same time is about as bad a hand as one can be dealt…

BUT

I know AC is playing his hand with the heart of an angel AND the soul of a warrior.

Please stop by the Oddfellows Lodge and donate if you are in town for Sturgis Falls.

Wear a swimsuit underneath for an Ice Bath!

Feel the power of a Gong Wash afterwards!

To everyone who sees this post…

PLEASE SEND YOUR LOVE, PRAYERS, POSITIVE VIBRATIONS, AND WELL WISHES TO AARON COFFIN AND HIS FAMILY!

GO WIN!!!

ANOTHER LATE GOOD EVENING FROM TPM!

The Knicks game got me thinking about NYC.

I’ve been blessed to have traveled there on seven different occasions.

This picture is from a Mets game at Citi field in Queens.

It was quite the experience!

My brother Ty had a client who had seats that were four rows behind home plate.

I remember watching the replay the next day laughing at Ty and Alex wearing their metal shirts.

We ate free food all night and had to walk 20 steps to the bathroom.

I certainly love getaways in nature and beaches, but if I’m picking a city, I’m going to NYC!

As I look at all the celebrities at the Garden tonight I can’t help but reminisce of the time I went to a Knicks vs Timberwolves game.

Kevin Garnett was balling.

The Iowa boy, the ‘Mayor,’ Fred Hoiberg was hot from three.

Stephon Marbury was breaking ankles…

AND

The celebrities were out in full force.

I remember seeing Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Billy Crystal, and Fat Joe sitting courtside.

Bill Walton was on the commentary.

This was in December of 2003.

I remember I bought two beers at $10 each.

They’re probably $25 each today.

As the national anthem was sung I accidentally kicked over the full beer I had put down on the ground.

DAMNIT!

Madison Square Garden has an ambience about it that’s hard to explain unless you’re in it.

The history of events from Ali to Elton John, to all the great sporting events.

If you ever get a chance, definitely go…

AND

If you happen to have any court side seats I’ll gladly pay $60 like I did in December 2003!

GO WIN!!!

GOOD EVENING FROM TPM!

Kindness and smiles are what I’m hoping for when I hit the different trails around the Cedar Valley.

Today I did some land paddling on my long board using a stick that resembles a paddle.

It’s a great upper body workout and a lot of fun.

I hit up Big Woods Lake to check ‘THE CEDAR VALLEY KINDNESS METER.’

I have great news to report.

Today’s score was a damn good 8/9.

I appreciate everyone’s kindness on the trail today.

To the one guy that didn’t say hello…

Maybe you were having a bad day?

I feel for you if you are having a bad day, but not saying HI probably won’t improve it.

I’ll say HI…

You’ll say HI…

We’ll all say HI!

Let’s go CEDAR VALLEY!

GO WIN!!!

GOOD MORNING FROM TPM!

I hope you have a vacation planned this summer.

Maybe it’s extravagant.

Maybe it’s chill…

JUST

MAKE IT HAPPEN!

In the winter of 1995, our family, excluding my bro Ty, travelled to Clearwater Beach.

The weather was a little unseasonably cold, but we still created lots of memories and went to the beach.

We did something brand new that we wouldn’t have normally done.

We went to a museum.

Not just any museum.

We went to the Salvador Dali museum in St. Petersburg.

Dali was a famous Spanish artist known for his eccentric paintings and creations.

I didn’t know anything about him…

BUT

That day stoked my interest in museums.

It was like stepping into a different world.

If you ever have a chance to go, I would highly recommend it.

The Hi**er ma********ng painting itself is worth the shock of admission.

The only other experience that came close to the dazzle and wonder of the Dali museum was the ‘museum of natural history’ in New York City.

That blew me away too!

I needed three days to explore that place, but only had a handful of hours.

Intentionally do things you may not normally do to open a whole new world for yourself.

The memories and the energy from those experiences are all that we take with us when we leave this world!

Stop accumulating more stuff that gets shelved and never used anyway…

AND

Start accumulating more memories and experiences!

GO WIN!!!

GOOD EVENING FROM TPM!

Have you ever been self-conscious about anything related to your physical appearance or anything else?

Of course you have, you’re human.

How do we give ourselves a chance to get away from this negative perseveration of ourselves?

Well, working on our internal environment can help us build awareness and confidence to keep space from being consumed with our least favorite physical attributes.

Sure, you could do plastic surgery to alter your looks, but that’s something I’m not interested in.

Think Kenny Rogers.

Think Cher.

Think Dolly Parton.

Think L.A.

You change one thing, maybe you’ll change another.

Maybe you go out and buy a bunch of stuff to try and quell your insecurities from your self-consciousness…

AND

Maybe It’s human nature to desire more after we get what we want…

BUT

How much use have you got out of all the THINGS you’ve accumulated in your life?

Just think if you could master your mind to be ok with where it’s at right now.

I work daily on mastering my internal environment to love and accept myself just the way I am.

Build your internal environment and accept your beautiful self just the way you are.

There was a time when I dabbled in the modeling world.

I was at an event once and all the agencies were looking us up and down.

One owner of an agency said…

“Everything looks fine, but what’s up with your nose?”

That’s just my nose man, I told him.

The world is full of triggers and external circumstances that won’t go your way all the time.

Let’s master our internal environment by mastering our responses to the external environment.

GO WIN!!!
