The Nassif Community Cancer Center was proud to once again be the Food & Beverage Sponsor for this year's Tell 5 Friends annual golf event, helping raise awareness about colorectal cancer and the importance of screening.

When cancer survivor Kevin Randle received a Quilt of Valor honoring his military service, he expected the ceremony to be meaningful. What made the afternoon even more special was seeing so many of his fellow Tai Chi class participants from the Community Cancer Center there to support him.

Roxanne (Rox) Stone, mammography tech lead at St. Luke's Breast and Bone Health, recently celebrated a major milestone - 40 years with UnityPoint Health - Cedar Rapids and the Nassif Community Cancer Center!

"Rox has been instrumental in her leadership within Breast and Bone Health," said Therese Michels, manager, St. Luke's Breast and Bone Health. "She has made a lasting impact on her patients and peers with her outstanding patient care and support of others, while shaping the success of our team. Rox has been a trusted teammate, mentor, and friend to many and continues to demonstrate extreme dedication to her position."

Bringing light to our patients and team members. 🕯️

One of our patients recently put her creativity to work, handmaking soy wax candles for team members at St. Luke's Nassif Radiation Center and for fellow patients.

Her thoughtful gift brought a little extra warmth, comfort and encouragement to those going through cancer treatment — a beautiful reminder that kindness can brighten someone’s day in unexpected ways.

Congratulations to our recent Guardian Angel Award recipient, Kassidy, mammographer with St. Luke's Breast and Bone Health!
