Congratulations to the Mercy Center for Memory Health (MCMH) team, who recently received a Mercy Touch Award in recognition of their exceptional dedication while supporting those in need of assistance at The Chris & Suzy DeWolf Family Innovation Center for Aging & Dementia!

Their nominators explained that the team from The Center for Memory Health has been quick to respond when needed.

"Each time, staff from the Center for Memory Health responded promptly and compassionately, providing assistance and ensuring the safety and well-being of participants," the nominators wrote. "The willingness of the MCMH to step in without hesitation often required taking time away from their normal duties. They demonstrated a selfless commitment and competence to provide service with care. Their presence and support made a meaningful difference during moments of uncertainty and stress."

The Chris & Suzy DeWolf Family Innovation Center for Aging & Dementia moved its third annual Parking Lot Party inside due to heavy rain today.

Despite the weather, we were able to celebrate community connection with activities like karaoke and the immersive Dementia Live experience, which helped people better understand the day-to-day experiences of those living with the chronic condition.

We’ve all been there: Something is wrong and you’re not quite sure whether to head to urgent care or the nearest ER.

If the person who’s injured or sick may need imaging/radiology, all MercyCare Urgent Care locations are equipped with X-ray technology.

Otherwise, if the patient needs a CT, ultrasound or more advanced imaging, the ER is the place go. This could include:
• Pregnancy concerns
• Severely broken bones
• Appendicitis
• Blood clots

In honor of National Cancer Survivors Day, Hall-Perrine Cancer Center welcomed survivors to a special drive-thru celebration on Friday where they could reconnect with their care teams and share smiles with the providers and staff who supported them along the way.

From diagnosis to survivorship, it’s a privilege to walk alongside our patients through every step of their cancer journey.
