For someone working outside in 90+ degree weather, drink atleast your bodyweight in ounces and add in electrolytes to half of that. For example, a 150 lb person would drink 150 ounces (4.7+ quarts) and would add electrolytes to 75 ounces or 2+ quarts.
For a light-moderate amount of physical activity when it’s 90+ degrees outside, drink atleast 1/2 your bodyweight in ounces of water, with half of that amount having electrolytes added back in. For example, a 200 lb person would drink 100 oz of water (just over 3 quarts) with 50 oz of that having some kind of electrolytes added back in.
