The Sleepless Genealogist

08/28/2026

Friends, if you enjoy genealogy, family history, or military research, this looks like a really worthwhile program.

I’m looking forward to the upcoming Northwest Suburban Genealogy Society meeting where Linda Debe will present Reconstructing World War I Army Service Records: Unraveling Ancestral Stories Through Unit Records.

World War I records can be challenging, especially when individual service records are incomplete or hard to find. This program will show how unit records can help fill in the gaps, giving us a clearer picture of where our ancestors served, what they experienced, and how their military service fits into the larger story of their lives.

If you have a World War I ancestor in your family tree, or if you just want to learn better ways to research military records, this should be a very helpful meeting.

Meeting date: August 29, 2026

My Land Plat Studio is LIVE!!! It's more robust than tractplotter. It will plot a piece of land for you after you give it the calls. You have the availability to change both the map scale and the call measurements. There's even a place to add your citation information. I welcome constructive feedback.

Check out the other AI tools I have created as well as a few prompts at the link below
