We still have the basic understanding widely out there that is a disease of pelvic, uterine, and reproductive health

That’s backwards

It is a condition that CAN affect the pelvic region, fertility, hormones, etc

But what it is is far more complex

This has been proven with asking better questions over the past decade

And learning that these lesions caused by an normal cells growth (these cells quite literally behave like cancer cells, rapidly growing and strongly capable of infiltrating body tissues) are found in places of the body having nothing to do with the uterus

Found in males

Found in the brain

Found in the intestines

On the diaphragm

In the lungs

In the liver

Around the sciatic nerve

And more

And it has a negative impact at each body system it can affect

Now that science and medicine is aware of this, I believe we will find many asking better questions with future patients and finding ourselves in a rapid state of knowledge expansion the next time a neurosurgeon is operating and now knows that they can wonder if what they’re seeing is in fact, endo!

Better observations lead to better questions, better questions lead us to more answers and understanding outcomes

Which will lead to better funding and research

And better treatment options ❤️

Save this for your next office visit if you’re looking at providers 🌟

As with any field, we’re not all created equal

I see more things that disappoint me in this career from other providers than I do things that inspire or make me think, “their heart is in it”

And you want to work with someone whose heart is in it.

Not someone who sees a big pay day opportunity and either doesn’t even *actually* practice or know what Fm is, but maybe who doesn’t actually practice the way they seem they do (bait and switch is a super common tactic for big cost programs)

Here’s the thing. The big names on social media? Yeah none of them are seeing patients 1:1 anymore BUT you watch a carefully curated sales video and you buy in (because you’re hurting, sick, desperate for answers - all things they have hired someone to psychologically understand how to get you to spend $)

…but you actually never even see the provider you thought you’d be working with

…..and maybe their health coaches suck 😂 you didn’t know, you didn’t meet them before! Surrrrprise!

Find your team in the smaller communities ❤️

Those of us out here doing what we do because we love human connection and helping people get better
