Living with severe, chronic lower back or leg pain? It might be time to look into your surgical options. Let’s talk about TLIF! 🩺✨

What is a TLIF?
TLIF stands for Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion. It’s an advanced surgical procedure used to stabilize the lower (lumbar) spine and relieve pressure on pinched nerves. During the procedure, the surgeon removes a damaged spinal disc and places a spacer and bone graft in its place, fusing two vertebrae together to create a solid, stable bone.

Why is it performed?
We typically perform a TLIF to treat conditions that cause spinal instability and nerve compression, such as:
🔹 Degenerative disc disease
🔹 Spondylolisthesis (when one vertebra slips over another)
🔹 Recurrent disc herniations
🔹 Severe spinal stenosis

By stabilizing the spine, this procedure stops the painful movement between the bones and gives the pinched nerves the space they need to heal.

The Outpatient Advantage 🏡
Did you know that whenever a patient's condition safely allows, we perform TLIFs on an outpatient basis? Advancements in surgical techniques and pain management mean you don't always need a long hospital stay.

Choosing outpatient surgery means:
📉 Significantly decreased medical costs.
🛏️ You get to return home the very same day.
🌿 Recovering in the comfort of your own home, which drastically aids in a smoother, faster, and more restful recovery!

Ready to get your quality of life back? Contact us today to schedule a consultation and see if outpatient TLIF is right for you. 👇

🚨 Not all back pain is “just soreness.”

If your pain:
⚠️ Shoots down your leg
⚠️ Causes numbness or tingling
⚠️ Gets worse when walking or standing

…you may be dealing with nerve compression, not a simple muscle strain.

The sooner nerve pain is identified, the better your chances of preventing long-term damage and getting real relief.

Don’t ignore the warning signs your body is giving you.

📞 Schedule an evaluation today to find the root cause of your pain and start moving better again.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Southeastern Spine 💙

Today we celebrate the incredible mothers who give so much of themselves every single day — at home, at work, and in the hearts of the people they love. We are so thankful for all of the amazing mothers on our staff, in our patient family, and throughout our community.

We also pause to honor and remember the mothers who are no longer with us. Their love, strength, wisdom, and memories continue to shape our lives every day. 🌷

A very special shout-out to Anne-Marie, Dr. Jolley’s wonderful wife, for raising 3 beautiful children and for the constant love and support she gives her family.

And to our incredible staff moms — thank you for everything you do. Not only are you amazing mothers at home, but somehow you also manage to “mother” your providers and co-workers too! We appreciate the care, patience, encouragement, reminders, snacks, organization, and all the other little things that keep our office running every day. 😊

To our patients — thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives. At Southeastern Spine, you are more than patients… you are family.

We wish everyone a day filled with love, laughter, memories, and appreciation for the mothers and mother figures who make life better every day. Happy Mother’s Day! 💐
