The Pines Senior Apartments As part of Brio Living Services, The Pines is a community of one- and two-bedroom apartments for active, independent adults age 55+.

The Pines offers affordable senior apartments in a serene setting. With spacious one- and two- bedroom apartments, residents experience home-like comforts without the burdens of home ownership. Every apartment features a private patio or balcony, full-sized kitchens, washers and dryers, and dishwashers. Barrier-free units are available. The Pines campus includes a large private dining room for resident use, a community theater room, carports, and a guest suite for visiting family.

Natalie Brown’s father suffered a stroke at the age of 67. He could no longer care for himself, nor could his family provide the care he needed. They made the decision to move her father into a long-term care center. One of his best friends transferred there to be her dad’s roommate, where their friends and family could visit with both of them. He thrived there for two years.

Since 1963, the Administration for Community Living has designated the month of May to recognize the experiences, contributions, and achievements of older adults across the U.S. and in our own communities.

Brio Living Services is proud to announce that six of its team members were recently honored at the LeadingAge Michigan Member Awards Gala on April 28, 2026, held at the DoubleTree Hotel Novus Ballroom in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Each award winner was nominated by their peers and selected by an esteemed group of committee members from among many nominations across the state. Nearly 300 people gathered to celebrate this elite group of 23 award winners and recognize their collective achievements.
