💜 “I GAVE BIRTH” — A BRACELET THAT COULD SAVE A LIFE💜

Pregnancy-related complications don’t always end when a baby is born. In fact, approximately 2 out of 3 pregnancy-related deaths occur after the day of delivery or beyond the first week postpartum. Even more importantly, more than 80% of pregnancy-related deaths are considered preventable.

That’s why our office supports the “I Gave Birth” bracelet initiative.🩷

Patients who have delivered a live infant or experienced a stillbirth after 20 weeks are provided with a bracelet and education about post-birth warning signs.

The bracelet serves as an important reminder to healthcare providers that a patient has recently given birth—even when she presents for care somewhere other than her OB/GYN office.

🚨 **KNOW THE WARNING SIGNS:**
• Chest pain or shortness of breath
• Seizure or severe headache
• Thoughts of harming yourself or others
• Heavy or uncontrollable bleeding
• An incision that is red, opening, draining, or not healing
• A red, swollen, painful, or warm leg
• Fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher
• Temperature of 96.8°F (36°C) or lower

⚠️ These symptoms should never be ignored. If you recently gave birth and experience any of these warning signs, seek medical attention immediately and make sure healthcare providers know that you have recently been pregnant.

Postpartum care is more than a routine checkup. Your health matters long after delivery.💗

🎗️ Wear the bracelet. Know the warning signs. Speak up. Help us protect moms.

💙 Happy Father's Day! 💙

Today, we celebrate all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, fathers-to-be, and father figures who provide love, strength, guidance, and unwavering support to their families.

At our OBGYN office, we have the privilege of witnessing the important role fathers play from the very beginning—supporting their partners through pregnancy, welcoming new babies, and helping families grow with love and care.
Thank you for all the ways you show up for your families every day. Wishing you a Father's Day filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with those who mean the most.
Happy Father's Day from all of us! 💙👶👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Uterine cancer is the most common gynecologic cancer in the United States, with approximately 67,000 new cases diagnosed each year. While it most often occurs after menopause, it can affect women at younger ages as well.

⚠️ Common symptoms include:
• Abnormal uterine bleeding
• Bleeding after menopause
• Pelvic pain or pressure
• Unusual vaginal discharge

Early detection is important because uterine cancer is often highly treatable when found in its earliest stages.

If you are experiencing abnormal bleeding or other concerning symptoms, don't ignore them.

Talk with your healthcare provider about what is normal for you and when further evaluation may be needed.
