Ahhhh the warmth of Summer is definitely here! ☀️ With the nice weather, we try to get outside any chance we can!! What a wonderful way to see the blooming flowers, exercise and breathe in the fresh air.

There was a special reason to celebrate this week at Arcadia Assisted Living of Chester as we recognized Ms. Joan for reaching an incredible milestone—successfully graduating from hospice care!

Working together with the dedicated team at Compass Hospice, we were honored to care for Joan throughout her journey. Her progress has been so remarkable that she has been discharged from hospice services!

Congratulations, Joan! 🎉 We are so happy for you and wish you continued wellness and joy, surrounded by your Arcadia family and friends who care for you so deeply!! Here’s to many happy days ahead. ❤️

Our sweet Evelyn turned 90 years old today ... so of course our staff, family and friends decided to throw her a fabulous party to celebrate her 90th birthday! 💜💛💜

What fun afternoons of dog snuggles from Toyyo, our newest Pets on Wheels volunteer!! 💙 We have found that not only do Dogs bring joy and huge smiles to our residents’ faces … There are so many health benefits to Pet Therapy as well.
💖 🐶 ☀️
It has been proven that Pet therapy has multiple benefits for residents in Assisted Living homes and other long term care Nursing Facilities. We personally have found that pet therapy can decrease:
• stress levels
• blood pressure
• fatigue
• anxiety & fear
• isolation & loneliness
“Pet therapy has also been shown to improve patient satisfaction, energy levels, self-esteem and mood, as well as decrease depression. Additional benefits include increased motor skills and movement, improved social skills and verbal communication, decreased boredom, and a more positive outlook. Pet therapy can promote social interaction and encourage exercise and playfulness.”
