Our mission is to give hope to families with special kids. We hope to offer parent support groups and kids' clubs in the near future. We are committed to helping each child reach their optimal level of functioning and, ultimately, their full potential. We provide excellent therapy care that is both accessible and affordable to children and their families in Northwest Indiana. We equip our families with the competence and capability to create the best future possible for their child. We hold ourselves accountable to one another, our communities, and ultimately to God. Therefore, we seek to serve each colleague and customer with honesty, integrity, fairness, and respect. Jacob's Ladder is an approved Indiana First Steps Agency for the following counties: Lake, Porter, and LaPorte. We had an absolute blast at the Porter 4th Fest! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Jacob's Ladder Porter booth to test their aim. The kids brought their A-game for our Glow Ring Toss! It was wonderful watching them throw rings around the colorful cones to win glow stick prizes for the fireworks. ✨

We loved celebrating with our community and seeing all the festive smiles. We hope you all had a fantastic and safe Independence Day! 🇺🇸

Laura Crohan SLP and Hannah Frain DT-EC did such a wonderful job presenting at the First Steps conference on Early Intervention topics for first-year professionals in the field! Participants loved the tips and tricks on how to be successful as a home visitor. Both Therapists and Service Coordinators appreciated the ideas and chance to brainstorm with one another. 😊

Dr. Carolyn Nielsen and Dr. Kristin Andersen recently presented on the significance of four-point crawling to nearly 200 participants at the First Steps conference. Their thorough review of how reflexes, volitional movements, and postures effect all of the other systems was enlightening and gave participants incredible insight into how connected our body needs to be through crawling. 🚼

Cindy Withrow provided a wonderful presentation at the First Steps conference in Bloomington. Her information was so timely, and the application piece helped participants understand (and feel) what their littles do during core activities. One therapist remarked, “This has been the best workshop in the whole conference, and I have actual activities to take home and do with my kiddos.” 😊
