Today was amazingly inspiring! I met awesome people at The National Law Enforcement and First Responder Wellness Center, Harbor of Grace to learn about their programs. They help first responders with mental health and substance use recovery using in-patient and day programs. What makes them unique is they were created by a retired first responder for first responders. Most of the staff are first responders or worked closely with first responders, including therapists. I highly recommend this amazing organization for first responders needing in-patient or day program treatment for mental health and/or substance use. I treat people on an outpatient level of care, which can be after programs such as theirs or before their level of care is needed. It was such an honor to meet them today and know we have such an amazing resource here in Maryland.

I was excited to attend the Partners in the Workplace lunch and learn presented by Not My Child. It was amazing to see partners in the recovery community and businesses band together to create a better environment for people in recovery. Some of the recovery stories were inspiring. We have an amazing community and it's only getting better as we band together. 💜

These groups provide a free, confidential, and supportive space to connect, share, and find guidance from others who understand.
