Delos Therapy® is a precise, state-of-the-art three-dimensional therapy where pressure is applied to the entire length of the muscle, based on the science of micro-stretching of the muscular fibers that are causing the pain ailments observed. During this micro-stretching process, vascular and lymphatic circulation is vastly elevated to improve the vital health of the affected tissues. We talk first: what you notice, when it happens and what you’ve already tried. Then your therapist assesses the muscle directly, starting where it hurts and checking the tight tissue around it. Treatment is done over clothing.

Rolled it out. The pain was back by morning.

A roller is round, so it glides over the dense section instead of getting into it. The area feels worked on, but the part that keeps bringing the pain back never gets touched.

They’re three of the most common things people tell us, and they often have the same cause: muscle that has gotten tight and dense and stopped moving freely.

Most treatment goes after them one at a time: something for the pain, a stretch for the stiffness, exercises for the weakness. If the tight tissue doesn’t change, the problem keeps coming back.

If the muscles across the front of your chest have been tight for years, they pull your shoulders forward. You can sit up tall for a few minutes, then you slump again.

Sore the morning after pickleball?

It’s a fast, side-to-side game full of quick starts and twisting, and most of us play it after a day of sitting. The muscles that got tight from all that sitting are the ones that get sore: the outside of the hip, the front of the thigh, the lower back.

We have a clinic inside Club Pickle and Padel in Highland Park, so we see a lot of this. An evaluation finds where you’re tight and what it will take to loosen it.
