For some of the reproductive endocrinologists at CCRM Fertility, choosing to practice here is as much a personal decision as a professional one.

Dr. Callum Potts, Medical Director at CCRM Fertility of Miami, wanted to start a CCRM practice in South Florida after experiencing infertility himself and receiving excellent care from his now-colleagues at CCRM Fertility of Boston when he was in fellowship.

โ€œI wanted to give the same standard of care that I got as a patient to patients,โ€ he says.

A big draw for Dr. Potts to CCRM was our success rates, embryology lab, and CCRM Genetics, where all PGT testing on embryos is done in-house.

Now Dr. Potts is a twin dad, and his experience with infertility has helped shape the way he treats patients trying to grow their own families.

๐ŸŸ Happy National French Fry Day! ๐ŸŸ

If you've been through IVF, you've probably heard of the tradition: grabbing French fries after an embryo transfer.

While there's no scientific evidence that eating French fries after transfer improves IVF success, many patients embrace the tradition as a comforting ritual, a celebratory treat, or simply a way to mark an important milestone in their journey.

We asked our CCRM community to share their Fry Day memories:

๐Ÿ’› "We went in for our 2nd embryo transfer. Fast forward to today. We have our amazing 6 month old IVF baby that is our whole world! Our doctors did the magical work, and I like to think the fries had a little magic in them, too!" - Gabriella S.

๐Ÿ’› "My mom and I had fries after my transfer in January... now I'm 28 weeks with a healthy baby boy." - Katie S.

๐Ÿ’› "Transferred in January, got fries right after, and now I'm 6 months pregnant with a healthy baby boy. So grateful for the CCRM team." - Emily C.

๐Ÿ’› "Definitely had McDonald's fries after our first CCRM transfer, and I'm almost 34 weeks pregnant!" - Margaret M.

๐Ÿ’› "Transferred April 7... due with our baby girl on Christmas Eve!" - Hanna V.

๐Ÿ’› "The best excuse to eat fries is now almost 2.5 and our biggest joy - we owe it all to Dr. Carpinello!" - Leanne C.

Whether your post-transfer meal was curly fries, waffle fries, crinkle-cut, shoestring, or classic golden fries, we love seeing the traditions that bring comfort, hope, and a little joy during fertility treatment.

Here's to the science that makes family building possible and the little rituals that help support us along the way. โค๏ธ๐ŸŸ

๐ŸŸ Sticky vibes and all the fries: Happy National French Fry Day from CCRM Fertility!๐ŸŸ

Have you ever seen photos on social media of someone doing IVF proudly smiling with her McDonaldโ€™s fries ...and wondering exactly what the connection is there?

Turns out thereโ€™s some lore that the salt content in French fries can help balance fluids in the abdomen after an egg retrieval and/or encourage an embryo to implant after a transfer.

The bottom line: Thereโ€™s no scientific evidence to support this tradition, but hey, thereโ€™s no harm in having fries as a culmination of your cycle and a delicious, well-deserved treat if you so desire. Please just donโ€™t forget the ketchup...

Did you/will you lean into this salty superstition? Share your pics in the comments below!

3 years. 3 retrievals. 3 transfers. One healthy baby boy. ๐Ÿ’™

The road to parenthood wasn't easy for AnaCelia and Eddie. After multiple unsuccessful embryo transfers and exploring treatment options, including the possibility of removing AnaCelia's fallopian tubes due to an obstruction, they decided it was time for a second opinion and a fresh perspective on their care.

In 2022, they transferred their care to Dr. Alison Zimon at CCRM Fertility of Boston. Their son, Lorenzo, was born through IVF in January 2026.

"At the end of the day, we stayed confident that we would become parents in some way," AnaCelia says. "And switching to CCRM was the best decision."

โ€œAre you sitting down?โ€

Moments like this are what itโ€™s all about.

At CCRM Fertility of Greenville, which opened earlier this year, Dr. Creighton Likes and his team are already part of life-changing conversations with patients in the community.

The news was shared with a patient who had waited through every appointment, and every uncertainty, every hope to finally hear: โ€œYouโ€™re pregnant.โ€

These are what define fertility care: shared hope, shared relief, and support through every step of the journey.

If youโ€™re still waiting for your own life-changing call, learn more about your treatment options at CCRM Fertility.

If you have one takeaway from Menโ€™s Health Awareness Month, we hope itโ€™s this: infertility can affect anyone, and there should be no stigma in seeking answers. Up to half of infertility cases are due in part or completely to male factor infertility.

Dr. Rashmi Kudesia of CCRM Fertility Houston shares why it's important for male partners to complete a fertility assessment. A semen analysis is a simple, noninvasive way to learn more about reproductive health, and the results can help guide informed decisions about potential treatment options.

As Dr. Kudesia explains, getting tested is also a meaningful way for male partners to support their partners and share the journey of fertility care together.

If you had to guess, how many states have insurance mandates that cover fertility treatment for LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples?

Answer: Only a handful of states โ€” roughly eight plus Washington, D.C. โ€” have fertility insurance mandates that are broadly considered inclusive of LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, though definitions and coverage requirements vary.

There are a few important caveats:

โžค Some self-funded employer plans may not be required to follow state mandates and may offer different coverage.

โžค Each state has different requirements for when fertility benefits become available, including whether prior treatment attempts are required.

โžค Donor eggs, donor s***m, and gestational surrogacy are often excluded from coverage.

So what can you do to advocate for more equitable fertility coverage? Consider talking with your employer, connecting with advocacy organizations such as RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, or exploring educational resources from Family Equality and the Movement Advancement Project. Progress is happening, but there is still work to do.

If you're exploring your family-building options and have questions about your fertility benefits, our team is here to help. CCRM Fertility has locations in seven mandated states and Washington, D.C.

This Fatherโ€™s Day.....

๐Ÿ’™ If you're still trying to grow your family, we hope you give yourself the same compassion you'd offer someone you love. This journey can be difficult, and you don't have to carry it alone.

๐Ÿ’™ If you've welcomed your child after infertility, we hope you take a moment to celebrate how far you've come. You've earned it.

๐Ÿ’™ To all the fathers, dads-to-be, and those hoping to become fathers someday, we're thinking of you today.
