After 43 years of dedicated service, she’s finally decided to see what all this “free time” everyone keeps talking about is! 😄

Today (May 29th) we celebrate an incredible career, countless memories, and a lifetime of hard work. For 43 years, she showed up, made a difference, and probably answered the same questions more times than anyone should have to.

Thank you for your dedication, kindness, wisdom, and all the laughs along the way. Your impact will be felt for years to come, and you will be greatly missed.

Congratulations on your retirement! May your alarms be turned off, your coffee always be hot, and your days be filled with relaxation, adventure, and absolutely no mandatory staff meetings. 🎉❤️

✨🏰 Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo! 🏰✨Day 4 of Nursing Home Week was pure MAGIC! Today, our facility transformed into a Disney wonderland, and our residents were treated like royalty. From pampering stations 💅 to character visits, the smiles were truly "over the top" in the best way possible! 💖 Huge shoutout to our incredible staff for bringing the magic and showing our residents how much they are loved.

✌️🌺 Groovy times and sweet treats! 🌺✌️Today was Flower Power Day for Nursing Home Week, and we packed the day with smiles:🌸 Heartland Hospice provided seeds to plant and🥤 frosty, delicious root beer floats to drink!🚚 A surprise ice cream truck visit packed with goodies for our amazing staff!Check out all the colorful fun from today in the photos below! 👇📸

Our nursing home was filled with SUPER energy today! 💥 To celebrate National Nursing Home Week, we honored our incredible staff and residents as the true superheroes they are. 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️We stayed cool with refreshing, homemade lemon shakeups 🍋 from Adena Hospice, delicious cookies from Buckeye Hospice, and got creative with face painting, thanks to Kiara and Jojo! There’s nothing better than seeing our residents and team laughing together.Thank you to our superheroes for bringing your superpowers to work every day! 💙

Hi-I’m Teresa, your Resident Council Vice President and wanted to share a little about myself. I am originally from Bangor Maine. I graduated from Bexley High School and have an Associate degree in Health Information Management. I am a mother and grandmother ❤️. I worked for the city of Columbus Health Dept. for 19 years as a medical billing specialist and then worked for 15 years in Chillicothe at Good Health Chiropractic. My goal as VP of Resident Council is to get more residents involved in the activities that go on here at the facility and that they feel comfortable coming to Karen or myself with ideas or concerns.

Hi I’m Karen, your Resident Council President, and was asked to share a little about myself. I was born and raised in Pickaway county but moved to Ross county in 1977 and have called it home since. I did my nurses training at Holzer Hospital in Gallipolis Ohio. As a nurse I worked 18 years at Adena Medical Center as Head nurse and Night Supervisor. After that, I came to work at Heartland (which is now Post Acute) and retired from here 20 years later. In 2025 I chose to become a resident here and it feels like home. I look forward to leading resident council and welcome your ideas and input.
